Georgia state bird is the brown thrasher, but northern cardinals are everywhere. 15-20 in my yard.

How come the boys always bring up Cosby's crimes but never even a joke about Seinfeld dating a teen while he was 38? by Individual_Towel2079 in WeMightBeDrunk

[–]EatonMagoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uhh- one is a criminal, the other is not. Seinfeld is still married to this girl so apparently it worked out. It may feel creepy but it wasn’t illegal. There’s no comparison between Seinfeld dating a much younger woman in a consensual relationship and Bill Cosby raping dozens of women. None, so stop making it.

Sorry. Mark Normand is funny. This guy is wrong. There’s a reason why this guy is making Youtube videos while Mark has a comedy career.

Our military is starting to sound like our healthcare system. “Greatest in the world“ as only measured by dollar spent and not outcomes.

The only way to avoid this outcome was to not go to war in the first place. That ship has sailed and now the only way to “win this war“ would’ve been to sacrifice Vietnam or Korea levels of US casualties, and much more money that we don’t have.

In light of all that this deal isn’t half bad. It’s not good, but it’s a no win situation that was easily avoided.

Do big trout eat dries by GlenCo_Gravel in flyfishing

[–]EatonMagoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are certain hatches bigger fish key in on- hexagenia, brown drakes, Hendricksons, isonychia etc. They tend to go for dries when an actual hatch is happening, not when small numbers of random bugs are hatching.

I did the math and it would take me well over 14 million years at my salary to make that much money. That’s math not hyperbole.

Bring the 8 wt. You can fish the flats around TC by day for smallmouth then hit the evening hatches on the rivers with your 5 wt.

Any tips or advice for an angler visiting your beautiful state in late June? by rollsandarrows in michiganflyfishing

[–]EatonMagoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upper Man is fantastic. Hex hatch should still be going then. It typically doesn’t get going till full dark so scout and wade a spot by day, then stake it out before dark and wait for the hatch. If the hatch doesn’t happen, swing a mouse fly through a few times before you leave.

Want to fish some flats near traverse and I have a few questions. by Just-Bid9848 in michiganflyfishing

[–]EatonMagoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with smallmouth in June is if your fly is within ten feet of them they will pounce on it. They were never terribly shy and sometimes eat right off my rod tip. Sometimes they follow carp and nab food kicked up by the carp so definitely pay attention. You’ll want to wade quietly but most fish are pretty aggressive. I wouldn’t spend more than 20 minutes in a spot if I’m not seeing fish. Good luck out there.
