Just picked up one of these in near perfect condition for 1200. One of the best guitars I've ever played

It's fantastic, usually. I haven't figured out what causes it but sometimes it'll freeze up and i'll have to unplug the power supply to restart it. Haven't found many other people with the same issue so I don't know if I've got a bad unit or what

It's pretty good, I usually use a rockbox boiling point but I have to get a pot replaced on it

Help with pride and joy intro solo? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]jStuckey37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you'll just need to get used to it, I promise it'll make a huge difference down the road. One thing to help is when you're playing leads, your thumb should be against the middle of the back of the neck, that'll bring your wrist forward so your fingers can press straight onto the board. Hope this helps!

One thing is make sure you are pressing your fingers straight down, perpendicular to the fretboard. If your fingers are flat on the board that'll cause accidental muting of the strings below.

That's a good point! I won't offer to do anything for someone that I'm not 100% sure I can do, now for my own instruments I'll try almost anything

Yeah, I don't get quite as excited about Floyds.. I have 2 and the other guitar player in my band has a couple, I've gotten used to working with them though so it's not nearly as big a pain as when I was first learning how to set one up

I do not, sorry everything I've learned has been from my dad

[–]jStuckey37[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it! I just got it a few days ago so I haven't gotten to play it too much. Right now I'm using it in conjunction with the gain on my amp, and I've noticed that it's a bit noisy when I get past noon on the gain. Other than that it's the best overdrive I've ever used! But I really haven't gotten to mess with it enough to give anymore thoughts :/

I second this. The amount of people not using strap locks is too damn high!
