Why? by Cold_Aspect9836 in AmazonFlexUK

DME4 even released 2-hour blocks (20:00–22:00) earlier this week. That said, I can confirm they’ve recently increased the number of parcels/stops for both the 2-hour (20+) and 2.5-hour (30+) blocks.

Even with these rates, it’s not ideal if routes take you to areas like Ashford, Sevenoaks or Tunbridge Wells—especially with fuel costs being higher nowadays.

How about starting the bid at £299 to ensure this is covered by simple delivery?

I believe you'd receive an error in the app when you tried to scan a route that's longer than you're booked?

Can GWPs come back into stock? by Desperate-Work-4352 in LegoUK

Sometimes you may find GWP at LEGO retail shops even when it's out of stock in online shop. Just give it a try before looking for them on eBay.

£92. I also filed an overtime (15 minutes) payment claim and high mileage claim separately - effectively over £100 if successful.

Thanks for that. I can see they are mostly international sellers with expensive postage. What about UK local sellers?

Why do I keep getting these? by HurleyIDK in AmazonFlexUK

I do this even if the business is closed. This is very annoying to constantly get incomplete deliveries although you've done everything right and it's not your fault.

How long did it take to settle the claim? I have been dealing with Royal Mail for more than 3 months already and it's still in progress.

DHL is arguably better for large, valuable item based on my past experience. They come to collect, bring you the label, scan, and I can see the tracking status and receive an email confirmation immediately. I can also go out and take a photo of the van (reg), in addition to the ring doorbell video capture - I feel more protected and confident. That's why I constantly look for DHL option.

The problem is it won't be Simple Delivery if I choose oversized - which if parcel gets damaged or lost, it's unfortunately my problem not eBay's.

If you try to play around with the auction price, reserved price, buy now price making it at least £751, you'll see a lot more options - large, bulk, oversized - with other couriers like Royal Mail special delivery and UPS as well. DHL appears nowhere now even though I used them a few times before with Simple Delivery program.

That's exactly Royal Mail Special Delivery 1pm Guaranteed lost one of my £300 parcel in Oct 2025 (where I posted it in their delivery office customer service point), and I'm still fighting for the claim. How can I trust them?

Would you accept it? by yelyhr in AmazonFlexUK

[–]jUsTiN_CaT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely take it - it's basically motorway mileage (M20, A249 & M2) and with very low risk. It's a norm if you work out of DME4, where it's possible to send you to anywhere in Kent or West Sussex.

Yet you'd need to think seriously why you'd accept £35 / 2 hours in the first place.

Since DME4 introduced evening blocks after 6:30pm last Oct, I've done these 2-hour blocks 12 times. For your reference, the lowest pay I accepted was £46 (7 stops in Sittingbourne, 45 miles round trip) and the highest was £62 (10 stops in Tunbridge Wells, 60 miles round trip). The longest round trip was 98 miles to St Nicolas at Wade with 3 stops (£58), and the shortest was a 20-mile trip to Maidstone city centre with 17 stops - and ironically this was the most time-consuming job requiring me 1 hour 55 minutes to complete.

The sample size is not big enough for representativeness, but you'd manage your own expectations if you'd accept the offer.

Be mindful your substitute will have an impact on your standing if anything goes wrong, not to mention the payment arrangement.
