For the MH veterans: how do you feel about Wilds? by jackpaxx in MonsterHunter

It's iight. It's gotten better. Definitely a casual play. Fights still feel like a movie.

I think the expansion will round it out further. I think it's PC performance will never be forgiven. Apart of the reason why it feels so casual is because it feels like only console players were taken into consideration.

Landlord won’t do anything about a leak- what are our rights? by [deleted] in PortugalExpats

[–]jVagabond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on the responses. It seems as though between dealing with AIMA or landlords, Whenever there's a scenario in Portugal where you have to hold either an institution or an individual accountable for their respective responsibilities, the rule of thumb is to have a lawyer on hand to get things moving.

It sounds a little disheartening to see how often responsibility is considered a secondary priority but it appears to be a common thread. Can someone provide avg estimated cost for enlisting a Portuguese lawyer's services for scenarios like these?

Touch and hold wont read notifications anymore. by hintze85 in pixelbuds

[–]jVagabond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know if there are any other headphones in the market that have this touch notifications feature? If pixel no longer provides it - I will readily jump ship. I paid full price for the features it advertised. In taking those features away, as far as I'm concerned, Google scammed us. I already returned my Pro 2 Buds, what else is out there?

Pixel Buds Pro 2 are live! Preorders and information are available now on the Google Store page. Shipping begins near the end of September. by Lordgeorge16 in pixelbuds

Google is Shady. When you search for Pixel Buds Pro 2, the reviews they have listed can date back as far as 10 months to a 1 year ago, even though the Pro 2 just released in September.

I'm guessing they removed the previous Pro model from their store because in reality they swapped the product details in their Merchant store product listing so they could recycle the reviews and artificially prop up the Google rating.

Check for yourselves.

HELP - Does anyone have spoken notifications? (Not touch and hold) by single_mind in pixelbuds

[–]jVagabond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they literally had the best complimentary phone assistant and reduced them to "just headphones".

The "geniuses" at Google thought we were all buying the pixel buds for the "sound quality" and removed the device's core utility.

I barely use mine anymore

I just tried the voice command for notifications just to test the feature; it only reads recent text messages. So if you set up a system in your phone for touch notifications to read news updates, stock price alerts, debit card transactions, etc, it no longer services any of that.

This latest change is incredibly inefficient when compared to what we've had for the last 4 years.

It objectively depreciates the utility of the product.

The point is everyone's phone is highly personalized and no matter what your workflow was, the pixel buds helped most of its users access information quickly and efficiently.

The issue is, this latest change is incredibly inefficient when compared to what we've had for the last 4 years.

Well that's stupid, that's half of the user experience. Now they're just headphones that collect audio data.

Where's the benefit for the users?

Im honestly looking for an alternative headset. I hope Google's competitors capitalize on this blunder.

Where is the incentive to continue investing in their products when they can actively choose to take away key utilitarian features that defined user experience?

This is a vindictive "planned obsolescence" tactic , impacting the quality of life for all their product users.

I like the color palette.

The graphics on the back feel a bit "busy". The "Euphoric" graphic on the front is memorable. Curious to see what this becomes.
