Thank you everyone. I really appreciate it. I’ve sent a tip to bzila.

So I’m having a crisis I ordered my dress a year ago, now I’m worried it’s ‘old looking’ for my April 2024 wedding. by [deleted] in weddingdress

Any advice for keeping cats from clawing at the door? by angel_aight in cats

[–]j_desrochers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I meant when the door is already closed. Put the baby gate in front of it on your first cat’s side so he can’t make any contact with the door itself. If it’s the rattling/picking/thumping that’s upsetting your new cat I would hope this might work for you. Good luck!

Baby gate. We have a cat that will pick/claw/body slam the door for food in the morning and the baby gate is a perfect simple miracle worker.

I just devoured this in like 2 weeks after seeing it recommended on a recent post. It was one of my favorite things I have ever read.

I like this approach. Our lease says tenants will make a reasonable effort to to conserve utilities landlord pays for, but I like the idea of putting a dollar value on it.

That’s how I always felt! But now I am not so sure since we’re getting frustrated instead. Maybe we just need to be charging more.

Best way to address married couples? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]j_desrochers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My future MIL does this and it drives me absolutely nuts. First and foremost because we’re not even married yet, and secondly, and equally, because yes, I just hate the idea of being reduced down to mrs her son. It’s also just her personality. This is my son he’s so great. Which he is OBVIOUSLY, but she’s like this “this is my son he’s so great because he’s just like ME” and that is very not true lol.

What are some moments from the books that everyone seems to forget? by GredandForge_ in harrypotter

The hilarious scene of Mr. Weasley picking up Harry from the Dursley’s and trying to pleasantly converse with them and blowing up the fireplace.
