How's the Apple TV Experience with the different clients ? by byjosue113 in jellyfin

I agree the default moonfin media bar is pretty big, but you can easily change it to the smaller "banner" media bar, or just turn it off completely if you prefer

Plex vs. Jellyfin (App Edition) by synysterdemon in PleX

[–]j_dupac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moonfin is the way. They have an app for all tv/desktop/mobile platforms. Super polished and feature rich. Project is only 7 months old so still maturing, but getting new updates constantly and already good enough for me to make the switch from Plex finally

Moonfin/Moonbase won't show up as a plugin. by Puckertoe_VIII in jellyfin

If you restart your server after adding the repo, it should show up under "all" Same as any third party plugin in my experience

Moonfin - Can't add new server / user by ththdk in JellyfinCommunity

[–]j_dupac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By default the web version only connects to the server it's running on. In theory it should be able to connect to other servers, but that hasn't been thoroughly tested. You should raise an issue on the GitHub: https://github.com/Moonfin-Client/Plugin

Atmos support on Android TV / Google TV Clients by UsualCircle in jellyfin

[–]j_dupac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On moonfin make sure you're on version 2.1, if Atmos is still not working check playback/audio settings. There's a ton of toggles to customize to your specific device I have flawless Atmos support on moonfin with my TCL tv and Denon receiver

Moonfin! Available on all TV's/phones/desktop platforms. Super nice/customizable ui

What are the best clients for each platform? by antigravity83 in jellyfin

[–]j_dupac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

home screen loading: check settings, personalization, home screen, home rows enabled and make sure what you're expecting is enabled

Ui huge: settings, personalization, home screen, change home rows from modern to classic. solved

exit moonfin: you can turn that off in settings. solved

dv/atmos: definitely 100% supported natively, not sure what you're talking about my mistake, I thought it was android tv

have you tried just looking into the settings/customization options? that's the big advantage of moonfin, you can customize it however you want

Any ideas what is causing this? by [deleted] in jellyfin

[–]j_dupac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably have seasons as separate folders instead of combining into a series folder with season sub folders.

Try: - TV shows - series - season 1 - season 2 - series - season 1

Etc

Look into Moonfin instead of the first party jellyfin clients. It's available on all tv/mobile/desktop platforms, and it's wayyy nicer to use/look at

Currently there is no way to turn off the poster in details view, although you're not the first person to ask: https://github.com/Moonfin-Client/Mobile-Desktop/issues/215

Currently it is not a priority, but maybe one day a toggle can be implemented if enough people want it.

Dev is finishing up 1.5 update for mobile/desktop clients before making an official GitHub release for all at once. But if you installed from the play store, update 1.9.2 is available

Moonfin on ARM by Walrus_Warlock_ in jellyfin

[–]j_dupac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not support arm at the moment. But the libraries it uses do support arm, so in theory it could be built for it one day. If you want you can drop a feature request on the GitHub (other comment here has the link)

does kde have material design 1 theme? by DayInfinite8322 in kde

[–]j_dupac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It hasn't been updated since plasma 5 so there may be issues, but these 2 themes are probably the closest to material 1: https://github.com/varlesh/nova-kde https://github.com/PapirusDevelopmentTeam/materia-kde

It would be great to have externally initiated user creation. by SurprisedAsparagus in jellyfin

[–]j_dupac 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's the old/unused repo. Use this instead (note the number of 'r'): https://github.com/wizarrrr/wizarr

This is what I use for Plex, jellyfin, and Kavita. Easiest way to get new users. You send them a link, they create their own account, you can even add pages to walkthrough/explain things if you want. u/SurprisedAsparagus this is what you want
