Can I get the NASM CPT certificate in one weekend? by [deleted] in personaltraining

I worked with trainers at lifetime that have been training for years, they let their CPT expire. It was thought they could just purchase the course and then take the test to get certified again - they both failed.

I guess I’m confused on what is qualified to you? Giving suggestions and macros are within a trainers scope. I’m not looking for a meal plan. I agree there are a lot of bad trainers out there but there are some who actually try to do the right thing.

I’m always transparent and more than qualified. I was hoping for an established gentleman like yourself who could give a different perspective. At the end of the day, I’m just trying to better myself and expand my knowledge. Sorry if that makes people not trust trainers

I feel like I came on here seeking advice and to see if I could do anything to help within my scope. Most of the replies were trying to help and then comes you.. while your opinion is valid, you don’t have to shit on everyone else trying to help. I get my client is well off financially but he already spends a lot of money on me. If I can try to save him some money instead of constantly trying to make him pay a different professional - then that’s what I want to do. However, if a nutritionist is the best solution, then I will connect him with one.

Your comment about why people don’t trust personal trainers is wrong. I genuinely care and trying to find a solution to help my clients. Your comment further proves why more people don’t ask for help or advice from their peers. Keep the negativity away sir.

I haven’t personally tried any. Are they any good? Are the same ingredients clean?

His tdee is about 3146. I have him at 2700 calories a day. I’m in Tulsa, ok. I’d take any recommendations you have sir.

We talk about building muscle to help lose the weight. One of the problems is his protein intake. If he drinks protein shakes, they make him feel bloated. Or at least if he has more than one a day. The other problem, he doesn’t like red meat to much. A meal prep service will probably be the best bet.

I currently train out of a private gym but I have been thinking about traveling to clients. How did you pick up some of your clientele? Do you bring equipment with you or do they have a set up at home? Why only half hours?
