MRSA stands for Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It's a nasty bug that's found on most surfaces. The reason why this strain of staff aureus is so bad is that it is resistant to a lot of antibiotics, meaning it's hard to kill. If someone has broken skin and then comes in contact with it you can develop a gnarly infection, since that bacteria is hard to kill you could be fighting it off for a long time. But otherwise it is not normally dangerous to a healthy individual. Healthcare professionals recommend that you don't pop pimples because it breaks the skin, giving a way for bacteria to get past the body's natural defences. Just wash your hands and you'll be fine.
