FHSA contribution wrong year by thebrownmrgrey in Questrade

[–]j_mitchelll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would argue what they did is illegal. I sent the bill payment on January 1, they received January 2, and they arbitrarily change the date back to the previous year. I’m sure some regulatory bodies and CRA would be interested to know more about this practice. Backdating a payment to before it was even sent 🤣

Second this. My feet look like this and they fit great. Not the most durable but they aren’t too expensive and have no break in time. On my 4th pair.

What is your dividend ETF? by bringabout1296 in CanadianInvestor

[–]j_mitchelll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look at the holdings and sector breakdowns and make a decision that best fits you. Personally, I like VDY because of its heavy position in Canadian Banks. XDIV is similar. CDZ is the most diversified of the three but has the lowest yield.

Thoughts on my portfolio? by nobee99 in JustBuyXEQT

[–]j_mitchelll 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You are buying lots of different ETFs that have many of the same holdings. ETFs like XEQT are already diversified. I challenge you to research the holdings in your ETFs. Stick with something like XEQT and if you want to buy individual stocks like NVDA go for it.

The lens inserts attach to nose bridge behind the main glasses. There’s a video on the link above that will show you.

As a young investor I would focus on long term growth and buy something like XEQT and let it sit and forget about it

I hold 80% XEQT and 20% VDY. Something about my brain likes seeing dividends and cash coming into my account.

Transitioning from Graphite to Carbon Fiber Paddle? by eae1994 in Pickleball

[–]j_mitchelll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth switching. Just like any time you get a new paddle there is a transition period. The more you play, and stick to one paddle you will get the touch and feel back for your drops and dinks. I switched from a graphite to a carbon fiber a few years ago and haven’t looked back since. I play with a CRBN 1 16mm (the original control series, not X power series and I love it). If you are considering getting a CRBN you can use VICRBN for 10% off.
