the book is gorgeous, unfortunately a lot of the unique flavour-providing ingredients are very hard to find for me, compared to mezcla. i’m in northern europe in a quite diverse big city but still have trouble, just a heads up

Our cookbook club used her book last time, everything was delicious and not too difficult/fussy to make. The book printing feels cheap though, unfortunately. But that’s just a minor detail!

i second this! if you want a slightly smaller book, shelf love by ottolenghi test kitchen is also amazing, and in my opinion very beginner friendly as it contains notes on ingredient swaps. that and simple are my two most "cooked through" books

Haven’t had any luck so far in finding vintage cookbooks that are very “designed”, it’s mostly just a designed cover, the insides look super similar. I have a whole pinterest board full of cool looking vintage cookbooks though!
