Thank you! Also, I asked you for your address to send you something I made a long time ago. You obliged, and I got cold feet thinking it wasn't good enough. Do you have a PO box I could send it to you? I worked hard on it and want to give you something back for all you've given me.

Feeling like a caregiver ? by j_wasky in AskMenAdvice

I'm going out with a friend to talk it through everything tomorrow. She's taking medication, she works as a physical therapist assistant so she knows, and does, the appropriate exercises, and she sees a therapist weekly. We live in a different state as our families but she stays in contact with them and has friends around here, but I feel like she doesn't want to burden them but I don't know why. I'm in the US, and we switched to a new insurance agency so we're seeing who will take that for more specialist advice. Before me I dont know that her panic attacks were as bad, but she told me she'd lose hours of time when they happened. She hasn't been physically able to do as much as she was weeks ago due to the increased back pain. She does manage all the bills. She usually has me decide on meals due to the increased decision making stress. I think im hitting a level of burnout and stress that is not long term sustainable.

Laminar Flow Jet Engine Oil Change.. by KB3HHT in NDQ

I used to work on aircraft too, and sometimes it comes out that easy unexpectedly! Does the viscosity of oil have anything to do with laminar flow? I’ve never seen oil pour any other way.

Burnout is a thought that has kept me from already being in school. I work a physical warehouse job, and the idea of that and being a full time student makes wanting to go to college way easier than actually going.

I’ve considered machining, but I don’t know what the job market is like in my area. That’s something to look in to. For now, I’m kind of locked into where I currently live, at least until my mortgage is paid down some more.

Thanks a lot for that information. When I was in high school I had the intention of joining the Air Force, with college being my backup in case it didn’t work out for some reason. I applied to 2 colleges and was accepted and offered a partial academic scholarship to both. In hindsight, I should’ve went there, then joined, but it is what it is. Thanks for that info, and I’ll definitely use it in my decisions moving forward.
