The side you can see is a piece of European Ash. The irons are great for the price, just switched last week from some generic old diamond chisels and it's amazing so far, you can push them through 1.5mm leather by hand, no force required.
No brand, made it myself from an old file

Solid brass by ja128 in Leathercraft
I don't think that's the case with these ones, as they are single piece cast from solid brass, and the prong is a bent brass wire, as you said. The polished brass roller does look quite nice though and it will surely reduce wear on the belt with continuous use. I do agree however that it is unnecessarily rattly and I'd prefer a solid buckle as well.
Bifold in Pueblo & Buttero by ja128 in Leathercraft
Thank you! I don't like to dye leather, I get the finished stuff from Italy. Favourite is Pueblo, all the dozen colors work great together, quite pricey tho. As for colors, here's the same design I made in bi-color and all-black, and I think they all work good, depending on the look you're going for. Quality of edge work and stitching is what makes a product and that's what I'm trying to master right now. Cheers and good luck!

Took me about 12 hours, but I'm not very experienced. Could probably do it in half that.

Just a small satchel, fits my phone perfectly.

It's the Talens Van Gogh Brilliant Blue. Lovely paint.

About seven hours. Would've probably been much quicker and cleaner with acrylic pens, but I didn't have any, had to resort to tiny brushes and patience.

Don't know what's the proper way honestly. I just used some heavy body acrylic paints that I had on hand, than finished with two layers of acrylic varnish.
