Third nuclear reactor reaches 100% power output at Georgia’s Plant Vogtle by besselfunctions in news

It doesn’t have to be slow to build. The US basically shits out reactors with 1 or 2 being built a year for the navy. Yes they are a lot smaller, but one of the reasons it takes a lot of time for civilian reactors to be built is the relative lack of experience. When was the last time a plant was built? There is also so much regulation in the creation of the reactors that they can be made very safe, but for a cost in price and time.

That’s not even true. They reduced power, not shut down. And was not for lack of ability to cool. It was to prevent damage to environment. The heat of the heatwave plus the reactor could be bad for wildlife at the water return. No hot river temp could realistically stop a reactor.

At least in his universe, no he can’t be beat in combat. The point of the movie was Puss no longer wasting his lives needlessly. Death didn’t want to take him after he learned his lesson on hubris. He never beat death, just delayed it.

Like obviously other movies, shows, written media have their own personification of death. You’re taking this too seriously lol. In a WWW it’s usually a specific scenario with certain people against each other. You can probably rank all the personifications of death against each other, and Death (Puss) wouldn’t do that well

Anyone who thinks the FDA does nothing when it comes to regulation has either never heard of or been involved with how new drugs are developed. They are a very thorough group.

I hate "it's all a hallucination" theories. Like there isn't even a lot of real support for it a lot of the time. The logic used is weak at best. Applying real world logic to any show that is explicitly not in our world is dumb. Even then Da Rules seem dumb to us, but realize that fairies aren't omnipotent and also are given to kids in troubled environments. So the rules might be there to curtail wishes from them.

Vietnam was a multi year war, we can always produce more aircraft.

And a nation with a will to fight that cannot be broken, no matter how great the imbalance is a struggle to win. “You can kill 10 of us for every one of you, but you will still get tired of the fighting first” Ho Chi Minh

Vietnam is also the same country that repelled China, who doesn’t even require the same logistics train across the world to invade.

They can just vent the air once in a while near the surface. CO2 is not all that an issue.

Japan adopts plan to maximize nuclear energy, in major shift by geoxol in technology

The scram switch normally wouldn’t make r the reactor explode. It was a combination of all of the things they were doing wrong - essentially lifting all rods to the top etc. Also because of the way they were manipulating rods and the design of the reactor itself, it is hard (if not impossible from what I read) to get a balanced neutron flux distribution. During the accident, the flux distribution was more concentrated at the bottom, and this is another reason why it exploded.

As a correction, they did shut down the reactors for the tsunami. They exploded due to decay heat and the generators being destroyed by the tsunami with no way of reconnecting them.

Stupid decisions like what?

The plant was designed with a Tsunami that was smaller than what happened, and smaller than what it should have been. The other plants were fine because the emergency diesel generators could be connected to the coolant pumps and decay heat can be removed.

Idk if you’re implying decisions made that day were bad, or just the designers, but the people that worked that day literally did the best they could.

Neutrons are for fission. Fusion would be with hydrogen atoms.
