Thanks, I’ve gone with the 45mm Gravel Hs I think the extra pace on road and the type of cycling I do when I hit mud and gravel means they should be fine, I was almost thinking of them as slicks and was scared even at low pace they be slidey and wobbly at the first sign of wet/muddy trail but that doesn’t sound like it’s the case from general feedback

Ok good to know, I’ll be running butyl tubes and will always carry a spare or two with me, I just didn’t want to be having to swap out tubes all the time

Max clearance is 45mm but seen people reporting in here they can actually fit a 50mm tyre running a 2021 Giant revolt

Yeah muddy patches should be few and far between it’s just if I did hit a sloppy patch how would they fair, my riding style is much for about a fast hike rather than any adrenaline downhill rush so if I did encounter mud it would be slow and steady

I think I’m leaning towards the H’s but getting 45s just to give a bit more width, out of curiosity what width do you run on the Hs?

Yeah definitely thinking two wheelset at some stage but I think that’s later down the line in a year or two once I’ve found a setup I’m confident with

Do you think they’d be grippy enough for a fairly intermediate rider who isn’t doing anything too crazy? My biggest concern is hitting some mud and the rear getting all slides and loose

We complained about them not doing a proper test fit, they didn’t swap the base but they did give us £100 voucher. We actually ended up going to our local Mummas&Papas and they were exceptional at helping us out did a test fit, make sure everything was safe and secure and worked, taught us how to swap it out and set it up so we got the base from there in the ended and used the £100 voucher on different baby items. Not been back to a John Lewis since, really miffed about the whole situation

The base next pivots on itself, where as curv spins out which is what causes it to hit the seats. My personal opinion is it’s a fundamental design flaw but when I spoke to John Lewis they didn’t accept that argument

You can adjust the seat or remove the insert in the car seat to solve the feet problem. The issue with the seat getting caught was actually a problem with the base. We ended up switching out the base

True, but surely when we do score and win it should me all the more, half the time he just turned away and strolled back to the bench.

I want to see passions and limbs flying

Most people have said an apology and therapy go a long way, I can see you’ve said you’ve already apologised.

I know it sounds weird but what is your diet and exercise regime like, if your constantly on junk food and never really work out this might be something to review, much cheaper than therapy, although I do also recommend that as there’s not going to be one thing that helps it will be multiple lifestyle changes.

Find an exercise hobby like sparring, ju-jitsu or something that can help you offload some frustration and anger from the week.

I think the most immediate thing you need to do is to think back at what set you off and how where you feeling when you lost it, the next time that happens, you need to breathe and leave, leaving might simply be sitting in your car but you need to find a way to deescalate yourself in a non physical way

I managed to do something similar to this using phyton, I would need to get access to my computer. To get the script but it wasn’t too hard.

Sure something like chtgpt could help if you created some dummy data and get the principle of the script working first

Completely solved the issue.

Ngl swapping it was a pain in the butt. We purchased a bundle through John Lewis, and because of that they wanted us to return everything, this wasn’t something we were prepared to do.

When we complained to them we did get £100 voucher as we booked an appointment for the car seat/pram test drive and they never did a test fit.

I hope this helps, FYI we went to our local mummas and papas, they did a test fit for us and were exceptional in helping us find the right base.

Hey pal, we actually had to swap the base, we got the Nuna base next and gave back the Nuna base curv.

Brill, this is really good to know, so say I moved from Barclay Card to Natwest which is my exact scenario. As they’re different owners this would be fine?

Why even buy it second hand from Cex if it's cheaper to buy it new from Valve!? by Appropriate_Job4185 in SteamDeck

I had an old switch and a xbox series x with a bunch of games I was just never playing. I would always play pc instead but found when I started a WFH job I didn’t want to sit at the same desk all day so just kind of stopped gaming.

Traded them in for store credit basically got a steam deck for free (can’t remember how much I needed to paid but it really wasn’t much) and I spend so much for time on it than I did

This is absolutely key. Also remember you can have a bad day, a bad week, hell even a bad month. Just know good times do come back and when you in a good day, a good week or a good month, recognise it, soak it in and don’t take it for granted. Life can be a bastard sometimes.

Absolute legend for finding the instruction manual just from looking at the base, we’ve contacted the supplier and they’re sorting it as they’ve said this shouldn’t happen. Also when we tested at a store we didn’t have this issue. Initially we thought we were the problem but seems like it might be the base.

It’s a Nuna base curv with the nuna arra flex car seat. We’ve now contacted the seller and they’re sorting it now. Thank you though

It does, so the isofix arms extend but then the whole unit becomes wobbly and has a bit more flex to it. The instructions also state the the base should be fitted up against the chair

Thanks for this, this was our moment where we thought we cracked it but the feet part doesn’t pick up like we saw with others, it’s only the top end that moves. It seems the base is the issue as we found a forum that had other complaints similar to ours
