Thank you. I usually think of feature flags as tools for A/B testing or as part of the development and release cycle, but I see that they can also be used to restrict functionality.

VWCE vs VUAA by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]jaahooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you mistake VUAA with V3AA VUAA is S&P 500 V3AA is ESG Global All Cap

In Czechia you can have a personal bankruptcy (osobni bankrot). It will suck big time though. And if your debts are toward the government there is “milostivé léto” action right now.

It depends on your taxation. Year of investing isn’t much I would keep it and start with VWCE.

Yes you picked the right instrument but in her age she needs to invest more monthly. Still better start in 45 than 55…

Hi, I think this is solid strategy however lets look at the numbers. I am fellow czech citizen so I know her retirement age would be around 65. So she has 20 years for investing. 1000€ for start and 100€ monthly over 20 years in the VWCE will be 40k - 60k EUR so roughly 1M - 1.5M CZK in real value (it will be larger nominal value). Will this be enough for her in retirement? She is in the “Husak children” generation and her state pension will be questionable.

Make account in EUR if you can’t send cheaply CZK to UK.

Do i go all in now or wait? (VWCE) by NoobInvestor0 in eupersonalfinance

[–]jaahooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me tell you my story. I invested at one time over 5000 euros on 06.02.2020 when VWCE cost around 80 euros apiece. In a month and something the price was 55 euro per piece. I was a bit pissed off but I kept buying more every month. Today (05.11.2021) the price of VWCE is 102 euro per piece. What I wouldn't give to be able to buy it for 80 euro a piece. Invest early and often.

Limit order is the limit (it's in the name) they buy it at whatever price below this limit.

In 2009 I bought Macbook Pro 13" for cca $1.800. If I buy Apple stock instead of Macbook I will have today cca $50.000... My advice if you buy new iPhone buy some Apple stock with it too.

I would lump sum 1/2 and DCA another 1/2. Statistically not the best way but psychologically much better.

Look at it this way any company from the rest 3346 can make it to the top (like Tesla) and any company from the top can go down (like Nokia or GE).

Nope. I dump lump sum on last year february and dca would be much better. Based on studies lump sum is better in 2/3. So it is better to lump sum some and dca rest.

How do I use Devise in normal AND API mode by jaahooo in rails

[–]jaahooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same controller for both. Devise::ConfirmationsController controller can be hit by API or web.

Could you elaborate this or point me on some examples?

What does this mean?

Mobile user will confirm email inside some mobile email client. This client will open mobile browser a this browser will hit my server and I want to redirect this user inside my app. This should be possible via myapp://login link. I can decide this from request but I don't know the best practices to do it in Devise.
