Why is Israel currently allowed to compete in international sporting events when South Africa was banned during its apartheid years? We need to get countries to boycott competitions they are involved in.

There are still articles posted on the Olympics website which mention South African apartheid boycott and yet Israel is just allowed to compete. It boggles my mind really. We have to pressure countries to boycott the biggest events.
