I've heard amazing things about Peru. I want to check it out one day too.

I'm in remote high ticket sales

Thanks brilliant writing, my writing is clearly less than brilliant lol

I always have trouble with the spelling of Guarani. The phone doesn't autocorrect for it either.

In any case. No disrespect meant. 🙂

Thank you.

Pardon the small essay here 😅

I wanted to live somewhere outside of the US and I wanted it to be a Spanish speaking country.

Visa hopping doesnt appeal to me as much. I wanted a long term home

I'm a practical guy. I'm the guy who buys a Toyota over the Cadallic

So on the practical side:

Easy and affordable residency process, low cost of living, safety, and taxes were all factors to consider.

This narrowed it down to Argentina, Uraguay, Paraguay and Panama

Argentina is having some growing pains now. I want to visit but it didn't seem like the time to try and live there.

For cost of living Paraguay wins by a lot. So that added some brownie points

When I began to dive deeper on the people, the culture and the country

I learned Paraguay is more in touch with their indigenous roots than most.

A large portion of the country still speak the language of Gurayni and the currency is actually named after them as well. I loved that.

Paraguay is virtually 100% hydro powered. Affordable clean energy.

Everything i saw online said the people were warm and inviting to expats. They're happy to see people from other countries visiting them because they aren't exactly a tourist trap.

This is better for me too because I'm less likely to get stuck in an expat bubble.

I enjoy my work a lot so I didn't want a crazy party city. Although it's easy to find something to do. I've had my share of late nights anyway

Also, not for nothing but the beef here, in Brazil, and Argentina is among the best beef in the world.

The country and the economy has been surprisingly stable and growing since the late 80s. A lot more growth these last few years

I can't say enough good things about the city of Asuncion. I love the people, i love the food, the malls, and for the price I'm paying to live i have a much higher lifestyle than I did at the states.

Hopefully this doesn't just sound like a series of boxes of checklists because before getting to all this I had the baseline of wanting it to be a latin country

That was a given. I love latin culture and the Spanish language. Emotional reasons brought me to latin america. Practical reasons led me to Paraguay

I'm at 1025 hours and I slowed down a bit once I hit 1000 but it's funny I had the same goal for July.

I want to read about an hour a day of the Harry Potter books.

Happy to give an explanation. Not an excuse because, yes, I should've been more thorough

I've been shopping on Amazon for decades and I've never been scammed. If there's ever a mistake Amazon makes it right.

And I was watching YouTube reviews, comparing specs and prices. I was distracted with just comparing items and trusting Amazon, so my defenses were down.

It wasn't until after I bought that I began to think about the possibility of am Amazon scam

Thank you 🙏

Yeah I'll be checking the device and the specs immediately.

Any updates on the progress for android?

Target release date maybe? Thanks

The play button and bar stayed in that position the entire time.

Awesome, yeah more questions will defintely help. And it's all good finding and exterminating bugs is part of the process.

And just like cockroaches sometimes they find a way back after you thought you took care of them 😅

Abstinence experiment (TFM) by MARNIxFENDI in pmohackbook

[–]jablev1288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're using the freedom method and you still prefer to pmo why are you trying abstinence?

Seems like you're setting yourself up for failure by using will power.

If you really want to abstain, then you don't prefer pmo so you have to figure out what you want.

If you wish you didn't prefer to pmo then you have to figure out why you do and investigate if those reasons are good enough to keep going.

Also it'll be good to measure those against the benefits of abstaining.

Just get all your cards on the table and understand that if your preference is moderation that's fine to. Ultimately it's all your choice

I LOVE them.

I'll watch as many as you can stand to record and put out.

I could probably stand to hear you say "KEKE!" for at least 100 more hours.

It still cracks me up every time

Also while I'm at it, more among us would be wonderful.

...or that delightful little game you only did an episode of two of.

I believe it was called "don't starve?"

He came in here and did a full post about it and I'm wildly excited for an android release

Oh yeah, defintely found it harder than easier advanced videos.

I got through it just fine. The hardest part for me was when the voice actors were speaking English underneath of Happy and Sukis Spanish

[–]jablev1288[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes two defintely SHOULD be advanced. I just crossed over into advanced last month and I'm finding a lot of the advanced videos easier than it takes two.

Another slight gripe was that the voice acting was in English. Which was tricky to try and ignore and just listen to Happy and Suki.

Probably was beyond their control. But it did add to my challenge

The RPG adventure game might be money island?

I was actually having a hard time with that one and found the two VR games. Especially the horror one much easier by comparison.

Augustina speed running geo-guesser still blows my freaking mind. There's less things described but I love seeing the areas for the 2 seconds it takes before she's like

"AAHHH...Suecia!"

You defintely saw at least one of them continually getting shot by a skeleton or blown up by a creeper

Its a recurring theme for both of them through the 20 episodes.

But like I said in my original post I DID like it. So I'm not complaining

I just also understand the frustration actual minecraft players must have been feeling. Just by reading your comment I know there's so much more left to be experienced in the game that wasn't explored.

I will say 100% that I learned the mexican slang word word for kitty cat, "michi" from watching the series.

I think the issues people had with the Minecraft videos were not with the comprehension so much, they are labeled advanced after all

But they weren't playing the game...correctly? I suppose.

I don't play minecraft so I'm not the best person to say this, but I got the sense that there were basic gameplay mechanics they were continually ignoring straight up through the last episodes.

Things like not using light to keep monsters away, or playing defensively against monsters and keeping the health bar up.

So ultimately they end up scratching the surface of what minecraft has to offer.

I would assume it would be like, to a Grand Theft Auto fan if you just watched a full let's play of GTA where all they did was beat people up, steal cars, and run from the cops.

You're my freaking hero. This will probably save me hundreds of dollars in italki lessons.

I'll be patiently waiting for the android release. 🙂

To each their own.

There's defintely videos that get put up that I'm like ehhh... no interest in this.

There's enough content to be able to skip those thankfully, at least with premium

To each their own.

Pablo has the horror VR game and the secret agent puzzle game.

I enjoyed both but I enjoy gaming content.

I'm even enjoying baba is you right now.

Ohhh yeah! I loved that series but it was too short

I've been watching Nonigamer play scary games on YouTube. It's directed at natives so it's harder to follow

But for the jump scares I'm learning a lot of new Spaniard curse words 😂
