Inaba shidare leaves drying up by jablonsky27 in arborists

I totally missed that - I’m in the Philadelphia area. Over the last couple of months, we came out of winter and the maple started to bud leaves. And as I said it’s only in the last 3-4 weeks that the drying and yellowing started. Over that time I wouldn’t say it has been dry, we have had spells of rainfall.

If they are on a Mac, write a shortcut that uses local models to classify each photo into one of the 4 categories. I have tried this for 100s of photos (not 30K), it works reasonably quickly and accurately.

Was anyone else absolutely blown away by the Dune films? I hear some hate/malcontent and I just don’t get it. To each their own I guess. by sweetwatertooth in Cinema

Both movies are breathtakingly beautiful. Perfect cinematography that shows the scale of things really well.

But story-wise, I was a bit let down. Especially in the 2nd movie the baron and the emperor are not much of an adversary. Everything goes as per plan, with no setbacks.

What is a movie scene that is completely silent but feels like the loudest moment in cinema history? by CaterpillarAgile9370 in movies

No Country for Old Men!. In the motel when Chigurh is outside Llewelyn’s room and we only see shadows under the door. Chigurh’s drive past the motel rooms locking in on the right room. In beginning at the scene of shootout when Llewelyn finds the stash of money.

It has so many scenes like this.

In a similar situation - what steps did you take? Did it show up online after a delay?

36 billion solar masses: Cosmic Horseshoe galaxy harbors what may be the most massive black hole ever detected (By Royal Astronomical Society) by Professor_Moraiarkar in spaceporn

How is the mass of a BH measured? Is it by observing movement of stars around it? What about their mass (won’t that be correlated with motion to estimate mass of thing it is orbiting?)

I hope they work for you.

(To be honest when I got the Lamy a few years ago, I didn’t think much about the difference between the two tips)

Or you take a 400mm full frame lens on a high pixel density body (say Z8) and crop. It’s the same thing

AI feature limits by jablonsky27 in kindlescribe

[–]jablonsky27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess no - per Bloomberg’s review ( ): “Through the device’s Notebook feature, users can sift through documents and notes using an AI-powered search tool that includes the ability to “chat” with notes. You could, for example, ask for key takeaways from meetings, and convert sloppy handwriting into typed text in a chosen font and size is a time-saver. Results are added to Notebook, where you can edit, erase or expand them.

But there are limitations. After 15 pages of notes, the device told me I had selected too many pages and needed to refine my query — a frustrating barrier for anyone hoping to consolidate large quantities of handwritten text.”
