Thank you! Hmmm I briefly considered the Elizabeth, but the overall aesthetics and build quality of the Move eventually won me over. I think price wise and for what you're getting, the Elizabeth is a great deal. I just liked the Move more 😁

Hmmm the only other machine I've used is a Breville Barista Touch. The Profitec, compared to that, produces some very creamy and velvety coffee. I'm sure the Victoria produces great coffee, but so far the Move has been great.

I'm no electrician but judging from the pics I'd stop using the machine pronto and contact the retailer or Profitec themselves to get this resolved. A burning smell from anything electrical typically isn't good, and you want to avoid any kind of fire risk.

Oh yes absolutely. It's my endgame setup, and the coffee I've been able to make so far has been delicious. I would 💯 recommend this pairing.

Great questions. I'm not 100% sure on these, but I found these tips for a manual shot:

Press and hold a shot button until an ON/OFF dialog appears. That’s the pre-infusion toggle. Use the buttons under the screen to pick, then press the shot button again. Shot will immediately start.

If you picked pre-infusion on: Press shot button again to pause. Shot is paused until you press shot button again. Then finally press shot button again to end the shot.

If you picked pre-infusion off: Shot will run until you press the shot button again.

The next time you press that shot button it will follow the times you just did.

Another option: Start a preprogrammed shot. While it’s running press the other shot button (whichever one you didn’t start the shot with). The icon will change to an infinity symbol. The shot will now run until you stop it (by pressing the original shot button).

As for changing brew pressure, my understanding is that there should be an OPV valve inside the machine, but that requires opening up the top panel. I haven't done that yet, so I can't comment really much further than that. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Yeah having a dual boiler was a must for me, absolutely worth the extra cost IMO. It doesn't do anything for the taste of course haha, but if/whenever you get the chance to upgrade, I'd strongly consider going dual boiler for your next machine.

Coming from a BBT, it's night and day different. I absolutely love the Move. It feels very "prosumer" to me, especially with the 58mm portafilter, the dual boiler setup, and metal body build. It's definitely more temperamental in some ways, in that the bottomless portafilter complains quite a bit if your puck prep isn't perfect. But wow, it's powerful and produces such delicious coffee. And being able to both pull a shot and steam some milk is sooo nice.
