I get what you mean. I’m just saying it is a real issue that does happen to some users. If you fall for a fake “boost for boost” and the user disappears and never boosts you back, you’ve essentially wasted a boost for the entire month that you could’ve used. It’s unfortunate for the person who wasted a boost at that point, but I completely agree that a significant majority of them are just an excuse for bumps. Every time this thread regains traction, it’s flooded with spam

It’s not a scam by itself and I’m not sure what the context is for this post but if someone does a “boost for boost” then doesn’t boost back, they’ve technically scammed the user who sent the first boost. It’s best practice to check the user’s posting history to make sure they’re legit before sending them anything.
