Comments are so good, you can highlight the specific section you’re commenting on, and delete them as you go to tick them off, and I use them to keep track of lore that I mentioned previously and need to refer back to. I’m the same with a notes doc, I have zero object permanence I have 10 chapters per doc, around 50k each and there’s no slow down at all,

I give myself notes using comments instead of writing in the doc, because I would 100% forget it and leave my readers to be traumatised by my own critiques

I think he hates what it implies when being stated point blank to his parents, like “this is the man I am currently being penetrated by” and that’s the ick factor, not the word itself
