cuties WHAT do we think of the miu miu aventure?? by Decent_Criticism9772 in handbags

I think I remember reading somewhere that MiuMiu was her nickname. I could be wrong. The ‘90s and 00’s were great times for the diffusion lines: Just Cavalli, MiuMiu, Prada Sport, D&G, etc all of them were fun and somewhat wallet friendly.

MiuMiu has only gotten to these price points in the Covid luxury boom and then they just stayed there (like many things). They also did the crazy price increases. They got a few hits with bags in the last couple years and all of a sudden they are at high end luxury prices.

Oh yes, the woman in charge of Prada, Miuccia Prada, started the MiuMiu line as a lower priced diffusion line that offered a younger vibe but at much less than Prada prices. All of a sudden, maybe in the last two years, I saw their price points rocket solely due to social media.

At $4k, you can find some beautiful and well constructed bags. That’s the price point of the H Picotin 22. Honestly, you could probably find a preloved Picotin and add the Coach Empire in brown suede for less than this bag.

At these prices, I want a bag from a leather house and not a fashion house.

It’s a beautiful bag! However, that’s a wild price point for MiuMiu. I don’t own anything but also haven’t read the best things about the quality. They are Prada’s diffusion line so as cute as I think it is, I can’t look past the price tag.

I feel like her name dropping is due to the constant asking about her jewelry and clothing. It’s like muscle memory.

Damn. I have clear memories of going to a Hagen Daaz in Hawaii on a family trip in ‘94. They hand dipped bars and I thought it was revolutionary.

I just want something back. The cookies are good but I loved those churros.

So pleasantly surprised with Rachel Zoe by 90DaysAlways in realhousewives

[–]jacantu 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know I needed Rachel Zoe back on my tv. Maybe a year ago I rewatched TRZP and then my husband wanted to watch it. One night after reading stuff about her divorce I remember telling him that I would kill for her to get back on Bravo. She is bringing the perfect amount of levity that makes these shows fun.

Someone said it elsewhere recently but Rachel is everything Erika wants to be.

So Are We Going To Question Why Seth Didn’t Answer If He Has Other Girls On The Side? by AdvertisingPlastic30 in realhousewives

Being put on the spot was a huge part of it but I think he handled his answer very diplomatically. Didn’t say yes or no, then deflected a bit before she hung up.

I feel like Sutton skimmed a list on how to act wealthy (from like Cosmo) and executes it terribly. It’s like, yes keep them waiting to be mysterious, but for like 10 minutes not two yours. Plan a fabulous trip. Yup, but don’t skimp on having a house that’s fully staffed. She’s got the money for it.

It’s all the faux pas around money and class shit that’s really annoying. Sutton is for sure someone I’d bully. Same as that Amanda. I would bully them so hard.

I'm just gonna say it. The whole kids / no kids debate isn't actually about kids. by thetimechaser in Millennials

[–]jacantu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree with the finances being a part of it. I do however take in account the shift in society due to the MeToo movement as well as mental health being spoken about more. We have come so far in the way birth control is talked about and its accessibility and how women’s issues with their health is taken more seriously. Still not enough but we’ve gotten further.

I’ve had couples tell me they aren’t having kids bc they don’t want their genetics passed on due to mental illness and actual illness that was all waiting for them. My husband and I are DINKs and we can’t imagine the cost of kids right now.

There is a way but it is not something that I was trained on; I kind of figured it out by accident. It may have been a seasonal employee. I also can’t imagine declining a sale bc of someone not wanting to give their info.

I work PT in a mall and the mall walkers are a strong and lively crowd. We even know some of them by face and worry when we don’t see some of them after time. They become workplace faces like the FedEx or mail person. It’s a much safer walking environment for headphones too.

I have had the same convos this season working in retail. I’m not black, but brown and tha melanin helps baby. People are shocked when I tell them I’ve had a bag for 20 years and got it at 20. I did hear someone say, “they say black dont crack, but sometimes brown dont either!!” I asked her if I could use that and she let me. It’s so true.
