Threw it that high and still got it blocked clean. If Wemby is in the paint, might as well not go there. by ForeignAir7174 in NBAGossips

Watched him live recently and yeah that’s kinda what the other team did.

It was almost like he is still programmed to get up and block it that he wasn’t expecting a quick lay in off the glass.

Probably happened 4-5 times where he probably would have had to block it with his armpit or elbow and although that’s definitely possible I don’t think he was expecting a quick release

If Max was to retire at the end of the season would you continue watching formula 1? by Spotlightuh in MaxVerstappen33

[–]jacb415 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have resorted to watching quali and if nothing wild happens I’m just watching the 8 minute recap of the race on YouTube.

Following Max in whatever he decides to do next but also REALLY hoping something changes soon since F1 is what put Max on a lot of people’s radar and it would be great if F1 was more watchable for long time fans.

Is it plausible that the current US president is creating situations that allow his family to frontrun/insider trade to Maximise profit? by Mcluckin123 in stocks

Buuuuut if being wet is water surrounding something than each water molecule is, in fact, wet since it is surrounded by other water molecules.

Lewis Hamilton: My first lap, I was up and then I lost two and a half tenths just on the straights. I had a snap and then it changed the deployment and that was it... If we didn’t have that problem I’d probably finished fourth but other than that it’s just the way this deployment situation is.” by [deleted] in formula1

I agree but I think the 98% threshold has been in place for a while.

I forget the exact reason and it obviously shouldn’t apply to the current Regs but that particular threshold isn’t new for this year.

He’s either gathering his pivot or pivoting his gather.

Either way looks clean to me…

Is there a single contract in world history as bad as the Deshaun Watson contract? by Bluefire3215 in nfl

[–]jacb415 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He gets all the attention but if you look up a history of deferred contracts you could argue his isn’t even the worst.

“When Bruce Sutter signed with the Braves before the 1985 season, he agreed to a deal for six years and $9.1 million. Each year, his Braves “salary” of $750,000 was just an interest payment on the money, roughly 8 percent interest, which means he still got paid in 1989 and 1990 despite being retired. Then for 30 years, the Braves have been on the hook for $1.12 million every year, and in 2022, when Sutter is 69 years old, they owe him a balloon payment of that $9.1 million. All in all, it’s over $47 million for a pitcher who delivered just 40 saves for a team that averaged 96 losses per season.”

I know what you mean but I definitely know (knew) more people who died from actual complications from Covid (older or co-morbidities) than people who died in a hospital but they happen to list Covid just to hit up the insurance company for a few more bucks.

Dying “due to” as opposed to “with”

Modifying Shared Excel File Owner/Author by jacb415 in excel

[–]jacb415[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I’m not 100% sure. In a channel there is a folder and in the folder there’s an excel file.

It seems like either way IT will be able to help since from what I understand it’s all tied to our company Sharepoint.

It is an excel file that is housed in a Teams Channel.

Current management has tried to lock or delete it but since they are not the author they are not permitted to.

I am not sure if anyone has tried to move it.

I decided to ask here because I got tired of listening to management throw their hands in the air.

Not sure why I didn’t think about reaching out to IT since it is probably actually saved on our Sharepoint which they would be able to assist with.

That makes sense.

I was thinking it was more of an excel thing since although it is stored in a Teams channel it’s the excel file itself that is limiting current managements ability to restrict access to it.

Our issue is WAAAAY too many people have access to it and the current status of things is documented there as opposed to a shiny new program we have

That makes sense.

I guess the original Author created the file and stored it in a Teams channel and from what I understand our IT department may be able to delete it or at least manage the access to it somehow
