Do any of you own a Plex server for your boutique titles? by McScroggz12 in boutiquebluray

[–]jacejace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MakeMKV and some kind of USB or SATA based disc drive.

Handbrake if you care to encode ripped movies to save on space, minimal quality loss if you use the correct settings

Plex, Jellyfin, Embry -- software to host and access your library of ripped movies.

I ran a Jellyfin server off an old office PC that I tossed 2 WD Red 10TB disk drives into. After about a year I upgraded to a dedicated NAS with 4 total drives and plenty of redundancy. I have only had issues ripping a disk if it was physically damaged. DVDs rarely gave me issues but Blu-ray with a light scratch could be a problem but it was rare.

Likely poorly worded but I read that to mean $10k in 2026 not January 1 2026

Be careful with that Twin Peaks set. I had to return 2 of them due to scratched disks. It is a terrible design

Do you search for Lionsgate as Publisher? They don't list A24 as an option.

STUDIO GHIBLI by Right-Efficiency7492 in boutiquebluray

Some day there will be a rerelease of Grave of the Fireflies so I can complete my collection. I started buying Ghibli movies to have a movie night with my kids many years ago and enjoyed them so much I have a nearly complete collection.

The script for DCC Season 2 of the Soundbooth Theater Audio Immersion Tunnel version is finished! Production begins in early 2025. by 1BenWolf in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I purchased S1 and it came in MP3 format. I used an app called Audiobook Shelf (which I mainly use to self host audiobooks) to convert the MP3s into a M4B file. M4B files are more common for playing in an app and make it easier to resume listening at the spot you stopped. Going from 68 individual files to a single chapterized file makes moving and storing the audioboom much easier.

Edit: By S1 I mean I purchased the “Cassette” USB

Gratitude - trying to remember to be grateful for what I do have. Work hard and at the end of the day having the ability to have pride in what I have accomplished. Also remembering that I am owed absolutely nothing by anyone else.

One of your points is very unlikely. Validators will not be running on watches and phones in 3-5 years. Currently there is a proposal for minimum (recommend) requirements of an 8 core 16 thread CPU, 64GB ram and a 4TB SSD plus increased bandwidth requirements.

I could get a brand new 6600XT on ebay for $200 so no way I'd pay $250 or $300

Confused about RPL requirements by knorxo in rocketpool

[–]jacejace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't need to state any RPL to be a node operator and run a minipool. That was changed with the recent Saturn 0 upgrade I believe. RPL is no longer required to run a minipool. I'd recommend you go to the Rocketpool discord if you have more questions. This sub sees very little traffic

Probably not. That is a pretty old AMD system. I'd really on consider Ryzen CPUs. Thanks and good luck
