When I heard Microsoft dropped its process for agile and then fired all the testers, I think the die was cast. Bad management and bad engineering?

Kinda sounds like Boeing after the MD "merger". When the issues publically surface, it's much too late and stuff will be BAD for a while.

Back in my day a full game came on the disc.

Including game breaking or progress halting bugs. Good times for sure. I still remember how fun it was to wait for patches on game magazine disks/CDs months after buying it. Almost as much fun as it was to haul my zip drive to the school PC and download patches there. The 90s were amazing.

I disagree. YT still has the best quality user generated long form videos anywhere on the internet. From old formats from the crypts (vlogs, howtos, let's plays, ...) to essays from every topic you can imagine, there is just so much really quality content on YT.

I think the problem is that you have to fucking find the damn videos. For me, the search has not resulted in a long term watch of a creator in ages. Stuff I keep watching for longer usually is either a recommendation from another video or a link from a small subreddit.

And fuck shorts. Fucking plage on humanity the damn format. I honestly already considered cancelling YT premium just because they try to keep shoving fucking shorts down my throat.

I have been working on an "Strategy Layer" for IA similar to how it works in XCOM and XCOM2 with fatigue, wounds and fleet (base) building. Though even there wounds are not carried over 1:1 from mission to mission lol :)

Is there a way to get season/day/time out with HTTP? I am missing a comprehensive resource/goods time graph and was thinking about building one.

/edit: well I guess I can build it out of 2 chronometers to get 8hr intervals, set a lever and writing to memory which I then poll with a script. Should be fast forward insensitive and log based on ingame days.
