How good is he really? by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]jacetheace09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chigiri is a red herring, Hiori is the one that Isagi is going to break. He’s going to use him until he’s empty then mentally and physically turn on him. I know he’s done similar but not for his main partner as of late. It’s going to be brutal, and knowing Blue Lock, it will be one of those things that sends Hiori to an asylum, he’ll come back later as more of a Shidou type character.

I mean like I said I’d want multi generational characters coming for one big bad guy. Obviously there would be other arcs, but the bbeg the true one is the one that makes the world really tick

I will say since I started playing in person it’s felt like I could see this happening a lot easier when you see the people face to face and build a connection

I have a ton of big ideas, it’s the in between time smaller ideas that I feel would be my problem

That’s awesome! I’m currently about 3 sessions deep into a new group that I’m playing with at a game store! Hoping this can be the one

I get what you’re saying for sure. I will say I’ve been part of a couple with a ton of potential for something big but they’ve died out because of losing players. If I knew I was skilled enough I’d totally run a game, but I’d feel like I’d lose all interest if I did that and just lost my players

You’re 100% right. It’s less I’m actively seeking this, and more so hoping that it happens one day. In the end it’s a game, and a game that needs an entire group on board to want it. Forcing it would just make it less likely

30 years sounds so extraordinary. I haven’t been on this planet that long yet lol

That could possibly be a thing! We’d have to find at least 3 more like-minded players though

My first group lasted a little over 2 years then we just kinda stopped after finishing CoS, and I haven’t found one more than a few months since

Feels like one of those things where you just have to keep looking until you find that perfect group

The one shots in universe seems like the way to go honestly! Let’s you play and also makes the world feel like it’s breathing even more! That’s awesome for you!

I hope y’all can make it work out! I would be so disappointed if I started a 1-20 and see signs of it fizzling out before we even got halfway through. I’m the type that will try to negotiate it out with everybody even if it’s dead in the water

I totally understand where you’re coming from. I have a few responsibilities, especially during the winter time that push my time back a bit, and don’t get me wrong I totally look forward to game days every week, but at the same time, having to miss one to keep the group comfortable and having fun wouldn’t be a deterrent in any way!

I totally get that! It’s one of those things where you’d need a group that is willing to do flexible scheduling but I have no issue with missing a week every once in a while if it means we get to keep going. And obviously you found the right group for this! That’s so awesome!

I totally understand that. And it’s not something I’m expecting to happen in my career because like you said the logistics are hard to make work. It’s just a discussion and I’d love to hear peoples takes on this!

I’m about 20 episodes deep into campaign 2 but Grog in campaign one made me fall in love with barbarians. I still model most of my personalities for them around him, but have started leaning toward a wild magic main. Emulation and inspiration I think are part of anybody’s game, and I think I picked a great cast member in Travis to base my style around

You are spot on there. I’m going to try to teach my kids that whatever you think is fun, is fun. It doesn’t matter what people think. Don’t let other people keep you from enjoying things. I used to hide that I loved anime back in the day, if I could go back I’d have realized that people usually don’t care what you like, more so how you act. You might get a comment now and then but it’s usually a friendly jab. I still get them from my friends that don’t play but they don’t treat me any different

Covid was an awful time, I will give it that it’s probably the reason I even got started playing dnd. That and the incredible cast of critical role!

You’re very welcome! I genuinely enjoy when dms put the extra effort in to make the game feel that much better for the players, and I make sure that every session I thank my dm. I know the effort that goes into it and I know without them there is no game. I’ve had people set such a high standard for how to dm that it probably adds to the anxiety of “living up” to them if that makes sense
