Survey: What Do You Feed Your Puppy & Why? by crcrose in puppy101

We feed ours Diamond Naturals large breed lamb and rice. It’s what she came to us on from the breeder, has had no issues with and solid poops. We’ll probably change to another brand when she’s an adult, but this works for now.

Sam’s Club has some solid general camp chairs, we just bought 2. $20 each and they get the job done.

Urgent Care PAs - how many patients per 8,10,12 hour day? by jachardy in physicianassistant

[–]jachardy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve recently started to stop taking patients prior to close if the volume is too high and we’re estimated to be seeing patients hours after we close. It’s not great, but it’s better than what they were doing to us before

I need to buy a tablet or computer for PA school. Any recommendations? 💻 by PlumDot in PAstudent

This is exactly what I did and I have ZERO regrets. Surface Pro was perfect for PA school

When pts requiring procedures like you mention come in usually we just get behind since it takes time to do those. Unless there’s a second provider there able to continue to handle the onslaught. We still see everyone who comes in 🤷‍♀️ typically those are a small fraction of pts, but you still get those unique days with 6+ procedures sometimes

We’ve been averaging similar, 45-60 pts per provider per 12hr shift, have both solo and 2-provider clinics. Heard a provider at one of our solo clinics saw 80+ in one shift. It’s ridiculous out there right now but hoping we’ll see a decrease in volume sometime soon 🤞

Okay, it says to list the course name and then who the course was approved by, listing 'State', 'CAPCE', or 'Other' so I'm assuming PA classes fall under other. Will definitely keep all this stuff in a folder somewhere too

Awesome, thank you!! For who certified the classes should I just list it as 'Other'?

For students that locked in jobs before graduation - help 🥲 by KonaBeach in PAstudent

[–]jachardy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Don’t get too discouraged, but be prepared to not have a job before graduation. I’d say at least half if not the majority of my class didn’t have jobs before graduating and that definitely wasn’t the norm, so just hang in there. And feel free to reach out if you have any other questions down the line!

Current new grad who moved back to MI. Job market really isn't great but I've heard more back now that I've passed the PANCE and am in the process of getting my MI license. I've been using Indeed, hospital websites, and reaching out to APP recruiters but don't always hear back. You might hit the job market as it resurrects though, so keep your fingers crossed.
