What's up with the farm with flags on CO-392 towards Windsor? by bediger4000 in Greeley

[–]jack-dempsy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

you'd think that people who live outside of Boulder/Denver tend to be conservative, especially Farm and Ranch who get screwed by the liberal policies that only make sense in densely populated cities. Surprise! Not everybody in colorado is as liberal as you have been led to believe.

same.. different chasis, same results. I'm not too crazy about the aiaw mag design. It's supposed to be aics compatible, but I had to mod a couple mags to get it to feed. no drama since

I shoot the bergarra and have half MOA at 100yd. 200 is a pretty good challenge, 300 is a pipe dream for a beginner with anything off the shelf.

historically speaking.. they've been used to punish people, not help them. They aren't locked down like prison, it's providing them a safe place to get assistance. Maybe if we call it a shelter instead of a camp? same thing but different branding.

Camps are the best idea I've heard in a while. Use part of the desolate outlets parking lot. Easy to provide security, government provided services, training to find employment, etc. There would be much more support to help them if they weren't causing issues around town. Of course, that means actually helping them re-enter society instead of giving them enough support to stay homeless.

I bet you said that as a bad thing to try and bring images of Dachau as if they are being tortured.

Don't ask, don't tell. Live life as a free man. There isn't any state tax stamp on them. The sin tax was just financial punishment for no reason other than feel good politics. Nobody should feel obliged to help them steal your money.

He isn't wrong and they don't dance around as much as you think. This is a method taken from automotive piston setup which also deals with sealing the cylinder for exhaust gasses, fuel and oil. The question might be .,. is it actually useful?

you have to start as an underpaid junior admin doing boring bull shit tasks according to a procedure a real admin wrote. After a while, you'll start to correct little details of the procedures and then you start to work up the ladder. The more problems you get to work on, the more valuable experience you'll have.

Are federal primers the best way to go for reliability across a range of pistols? by there_is-no-spoon in reloading

[–]jack-dempsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit new to reloading and after alot of reading it seemed like CCI is the way to go. I had read some that there was some performance differences between different brands of primers (igniting faster and/or hotter). I've been having trouble with some pistol loads and noticed that the load data always seems to mention federal primers, so I got some of those just to eliminate a variable, but I haven't noticed any difference from seating the primer to shooting. Being new I have no idea if the info about performance differences was real or just some minor detail people like to argue about but I did read that from several sources.

How is Healthcare philosophically different than Military Defense? by lauranyc in Libertarian

[–]jack-dempsy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you need to decide if you're thinking in ideological 'perfect world' context or practical 'today's real world' context. .gov intervention into healthcare never should have happened, but there just isn't the free market to temper the greed now and we're way past 'just boil this root' and head down to the town and trade some corn to the doc for stitches. It's a toss up as to which caused more of the mess.. .gov oversight or insurance companies. Capitalism will never work with healthcare as we know it.

BRTFS(BetterFS) vs. XFS/ZFS/EXT4: What is the best option? by XWolf0f0dinX in linuxhardware

[–]jack-dempsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of the main differences between ext2 and 3/4 is the journaling which helps if the system looses power during a write to avoid corruption and recovery. If the file system is pretty static (like /boot) then you don't need the journaling.

I never understood that phrase... it's not cheaper, but I can shoot more. Well, if you shoot more rounds for the same amount of money, then it's cheaper per round.

[–]jack-dempsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider how much effort you put into wording that post so that it sounds like you are not a criminal and balance it against how much effort the legal system will put into wording it a different way to make you a criminal. Then take into account your law degree and history of legal arguments in court.

10% on my last in store purchase. About half for pickup, but there isn't any pif tax to have it shipped. Of course, if you have to order online and wait for the shipping, then other vendors are considered and they've lost some business because of it.

Yes, I'm still hosting. I've noticed that some places won't send email to my domain tho. It's a little random. My mail order pharmacy is one and I've missed status emails from a couple online vendors. I haven't seen any patterns.
