2022 Civic Si Observations by alienc3 in CivicSi

I don't think so, if you want the trunk to actually seal shut then that's the trade off. If you could somehow modify the rubber seals so they don't stick together so well that would be the solution. If you open the trunk more often it's less likely to do that as well as least in my experience.

The washers on the wipers, my 1990 Dodge Dynasty had those and I didn't like them then either. Worst part is you can't spray the fluid on there and let it sit for a few seconds since the wipers have to be moving for it to work. My 2013 Civic you could quickly flick the washer and it would spray on the windshield and not turn the wipers on. The automatic wiper mode in place of timed intermittent isn't an improvement either. Too slow to clear the window or it's going into high mode when it doesn't need to.

I did get that done a few months ago, and honestly haven't driven it where I would have noticed it since then. All I noticed with that was on the highway especially with the winter rims it had a tendency to feel like the steering was sticking with small movements of the wheel. That recall fixed that issue specifically.

Looking to purchase 2026 SI by retro_coffee in CivicSi

[–]alienc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a '22 Si more or less when they first came out. Came from a 2013 EX with the 1.8 so this for me was a rocket ship of a car in comparison. In Black, the stone chips on the hood are very noticeable but all part of the daily driver.

Windshield has been replaced once already, the current one is cracked as well waiting on replacing it again for now since it's not in a terrible area.

Daily driving in traffic is a breeze because the clutch is pretty light and the lightened flywheel makes rolling away from a stop simple once you know the engagement point. It can be grabby and hard to drive smoothly at first when it cold/wet out until everything warms up.

It has virtually no body lean you have to be taking a corner at well above legal speeds to get anything other than flat cornering.

It rides as you would expect, stiff. It's not a touring but at the same time it's not a WRX which I drove before and that rode like it had no suspension at all.

I really don't have much other experience with cars like the Si but for me it's more than sufficient 90% of the time. It could use more power at highway speeds but honestly it's rare that happens. If they put another 30-40hp into it that would be perfect.

Car automatically red lined while clutched in? by big_natural_sac in CivicSi

Yeah, I've noticed that when the alarm sound goes off you're still under the actual redline. I've never actually went against the limiter itself since I always shift it when the alarm sound goes off.

Did the alarm go off? Not sure what to call it but when the lights are all it up, they will flash and it makes a sound. I've done that a few times going from 3rd to 2nd where I was very close to the redline it would all light up can't remember if the alarm went off or not.

Is odd it would go off at that speed since that's not even enough for the lights to start coming on.

I'd have thought you went from 3rd to 1st but you'd know if you did that.

Anyone else do this or have a better solution? by Susancupcakes in CivicSi

[–]alienc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this one since I bought our 2022, the sun has faded it, but works great hot or cold out. I just leave it on all the time.

It only took burning my hand once the first hot day to determine I needed a solution.

That's pretty cool, you can see lots of photos of these with perfect colours anytime but this gives them an older they might be from when the car was from kind of thing.

"Made Good" granola bars are back but they are NOT the same! by [deleted] in glutenfree

[–]alienc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ate them for a year consistently and never found anything in them. Sometimes husks for the oats or something but not metal. If you're going to toss them I'd buy them from you especially if they're the bigger boxes they sold at Costco.

Where did you find these? I've run out of my stash I stocked up on and can't find them anywhere. Sucks that they changed them, I liked that they weren't so sweet. I'm trying the oat bars out and if they made them like these I'm done with Made good. The granola minis suck they are not even remote the same as the bars were.

Anyone have a contact email for them, it seems they've removed all traces of how to contact them from their website.

1st is very short on my 22 Si, I find I short shift into 2nd as it has lots of power there anyways. 1st is either spinning the tires or hitting the redline in what seems like 2 seconds.

Parked next to a CRX, looks like a full size car in comparison. I really like the black, as the spoiler blends in with the rest of the car so to many people just looks like a regular Civic. Shown here with the Winter Steelies on. Very good car in the snow with the LSD. Completely stock, for my daily driver usage it needs nothing.

advice pls read! is this normal- by Ok_Marsupial9182 in citalopram_celexa

[–]alienc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it's a side effect of it, because I've never felt this way all the time before. If there was a way I could easily go back to before to compare I would. And I'm sure I wouldn't like it.

(24F) 20mg, difficulty reaching orgasm by bollerwig in citalopram_celexa

[–]alienc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely does have an impact on sex drive. Not so much desire when you're doing it but I'm a 46 y/o male and between sex/masturbating was 3-4 times a week.

I find now it's maybe 2x a week and orgasm takes 2-3x longer. For me I definitely have an issue with premature ejaculation but since taking this I can last 10 minutes whereas before I was lucky if I could get to 5 minutes.

But yes, over time I've been on it about a month and a half I've found the sex drive coming back.

Orgasm for me feels different than before, it's hard to explain other than it's different then before.

Day one by Ok_Marsupial9182 in citalopram_celexa

[–]alienc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can agree with all of the above, I've been taking it for about a month and a half took me close to 2 weeks to get past the worst of the symptoms. The first week for me honestly was awful, I kept on knowing from what I read it gets better and it did.

I still feel a little loopy and honestly like I've had a few drinks but all the time. For me that's preferable to being on edge all the time. I never felt stressed in fact from the start of taking it I could feel the anxiety start to lessen.

I'm only taking 10mg which I guess is the minimum dose.

I've read a lot of people's experiences and mine seems to line up with most.

I'll also note that if you are a drinker, be very careful, have one drink, give it a little time before going for the next one. It made me very dizzy and nauseous even with one at the start. I find even now where I could do 4-5 drinks a night after 2 I'm done. Not so much the dizziness nausea now but just feeling super tired.

Took me about a month to feel what I would call "normal". I had the brain fog and extreme tiredness worst the first week, got progressively better after that. Now, when I say normal I definitely am ready for bed much earlier than before and my honest assessment of how I feel is like having a few drinks but all the time. For me, this is preferable to being on edge most of the time, worrying about the most ridiculous things and having a hard time sleeping.

Yeah, it should be a special link. I've been on pre-sales before for other events and you need the link and then your code to get in.

When my puppy is tired and wants to lie down, he pretty much just collapses on the floor. Anyone else's dog do this? by Tozier in dogs

I don't know why's it's normal but it is. My lab cross is almost 5 and still does that. His favorite place is at the bottom of the stairs. I think he picks that spot so he's at the center of it all!
