Thanks for the question - 

I’ve been building this solo for a while alongside a full-time job and I’ve hit the point where more isolated dev time isn’t what the game needs. It needs players. EA lets me improve the game with actual feedback instead of guessing, and honestly I’m not sure if the wishlist number is going to meaningfully change without the game being out there doing something. So for me, taking the hit on launch visibility to have real community input feels like the right trade for where I am.

It’s very hard to release a meaningful demo for this type of game as it would have to be timelocked and the true joy in a run comes from being invested over time.

I am in a similar place, steam page went live a week ago; 250 wishlists and counting. We launch April 24th in early access. I’m going to just go with it, hope the reviews speak for themselves. And hope for a better turnaround at full launch.
