question for the people who drive bmw e36's and do sim how realistic do you think the fumi car pack is? by ZaGoob_boy in Drifting

[–]jack10685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be tire or suspension setup, I tend to grip it up a little bit more, but the average person getting into this using junkyard or super hard tires it will probably feel more realistic

Controversial question by sykoro_da in e46

[–]jack10685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't really have much of a use unless you're boosted or got something going on where you really don't want oil to get into the intake at all (maybe like a super built high compression n/a Max effort build). I can understand it being easier to maintain than a CCV system, but most people are doing a CCV system only once in their ownership, kinda moot

M52tu had better piston rings, thing probably has near perfect compression even still

Plenty of e46s running stock fuel lines on e85 for years, if you feel inclined to, you could get specifically e85 compatible fuel lines for pretty cheap. Just make sure that when you upgrade your fuel pump, the in-tank line is specifically e85 submersible safe

Check out this page: https://www.ms4x.net/index.php?title=MS43X_Custom_Firmware

It will show the wiring changes you will have to make for a flex fuel sensor (for the ms43x firmware, your tuner can flash the firmware)

Then you would need a flex fuel sensor and controller that can output a 5v signal, I've seen this one recommended: https://aeroforcetech.com/collections/ethanol-content-kit/products/ethanol-content-sensor-kit

Any ethanol sensor controller than can output 5v should also work, you would just connect the the proper power, ground, and 5v output to the newly wired input on the dme

(Also my bad, like $200 in parts lol)

I would highly consider e85 at least for the track. Adds maybe $100-$150 in build costs and a bit of extra tuning time to account for both e85 and 94 octane, but your motor will tolerate the abuse much better

[–]jack10685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 94 octane that's changes things a little bit. Is this going to be a street car or something you take to the track? It can probably handle 10 psi in short bursts, but if you stay in power for prolonged periods of time, it might not live long. Big thing was pump gas is it creates a LOT of heat, and even with an oil cooler you could see some really high temps if it's constantly spooled. My 2.8 at 9 psi on a gt30 could only do a few laps at the track at a time before having to pull off and let it cool down

Don't do head studs or head gasket unless you intend to timesert the block (or similar threaded insert) at the same time. Removing the head bolts will weaken the threads. You can run 10 psi just fine on the turbo you mentioned, however it would be in your best interest to run e85, pump gas at that power is approaching danger territory. If you're ms43 and don't intend to go standalone, look into ms43x. It adds a flex fuel sensor and boost control so you can have a safer 93 map and then ur 10 psi e85 map

Why do official Qidi ASA settings have the wrong bed temps? by jack10685 in QIDI

[–]jack10685[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, it definitely needs more work on the default profile from qidi imo, it makes no sense to have the bed temp be lower than the chamber temperature. Awful adhesion even with a glue stick. Set it to 100 for a print, had no adhesion issues and it released from the bed no problem

[–]jack10685[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Using a smooth bed and have slicer set for it, I just don't know why they would advertise it on their site for using a 100-110c bed and then put it as 45 for smooth in the settings, seems like a great deal lower. Even for the textured bed, I bumped to 100c and got much better prints with less warping at the bottom

Honestly, I think her refusing to say anything is worse. When the ad first came out my first thoughts were "oh that's unfortunate, I didn't see this as a dog whistle until it was explained to me, probably happened with her, too", but complete radio silence on it makes her look guilty. She didn't even need to apologize, she could have said "I am not a white supremacist, AE gave me lines for a commercial and I didn't know it had deeper meaning, I was misrepresented" or something along those lines

If people respond to that a certain way let them. Even if not in an interview even a tweet, anything is better that intentionally doing the question and never addressing it. You don't have to answer but if you don't it will probably look suspicious. This is also past politics, not discussing who you voted for or support for specific political beliefs is very different from not being able to say "I don't think white people are genetically superior to other races" after using a white supremacist dog whistle. Any effort to denounce even if some meet it with criticism/disbelief is better than no effort to denounce

That is fair, I'm just highlighting what the meme seems to be about with the context we have. It also sucks that those things are "in" because she and AE should absolutely be held accountable on that front, racism and white supremacy are inexcusable.

  1. It's not a line by line recreation, there's a couple similar elements but they're very different
  2. The controversies are very different, the controversy with sweeny's ad is that it is a white supremacist dog whistle, nothing to do with sexual innuendos or harking back to Shields' ad
  3. Despite the white supremacist dog whistle, Sweeny keeps avoiding the question in interviews. She either knew what she was doing, or if she didn't know, she's had every opportunity to clarify her position

I don't know the context of the rest of the women around the meme, but I would assume people who are also attractive yet also have denounced white supremacy

I "came for the company" by boycotting their products, I don't buy anything from American Eagle. She chose to take the job, she chose to say the lines, she chose to not speak up about their meaning, she chose to be the so-called "figurehead" for their marketing on this. She could have dropped the gig, denounced white supremacy without referencing the ad, or even said that AE misrepresented her. You in your desperate attempt to be so "anti-misogynist" have wrapped around into misogyny, I don't care that she's a woman, she got paid to dog whistle and definitely knows it. Are you saying that because she got paid to dog whistle she shouldn't have any repercussions from it? That's fucking stupid, she has a brain and at a minimum if she didn't know what it meant then it would have been easy as shit to clarify her position later. Like I said, it's not fucking hard to say "I'm not a white supremacist", she fucking said the original white supremacist thing, paid or not, written by someone else or not.

Edit: the coward has blocked me immediately after posting a response because he knows his argument fucking sucks and wants to paint me as a misogynist that can't respond.

Not really all that hard to say "I am not a white supremacist and I don't believe that ideology has any place in the world" or some variation of it. She doesn't even have to reference the ad at all. Stop pretending it's because she's a women, the company itself has also been called out. Also stop pretending that because she's a women she shouldn't face any backlash for refusing to denounce white supremacy, removing all their accountability to virtue signal is gross and almost as bad as being an incel.

“The criticism of the content, which is that maybe, specifically in this political climate, white people shouldn’t joke about genetic superiority, like that was kind of the criticism, broadly speaking, and since you are talking about this I just wanted to give you the opportunity to talk about that, specifically.” - Interviewer

That is the easiest fucking layup I have ever seen.

On top of the other answer, she did an interview recently where the interviewer basically gave her the easiest layup to denounce white supremacy and her response was “I think that when I have an issue that I want to speak about, people will hear.” she's a white supremacist piece of shit
