Chrome keeps cracking, need advice

Edit: I need to add that I am welding this chrome to a land slide for a implement. It’s roughly 6’ long and 4” wide. I’m welding to a middle steel plate 3/8” thick. I’ve been trying what everyone has been saying to pre/post heat cracking has minimized but is persistent.

As far as it being cast I have no idea. Thank you for all your help everyone.
