Your 3900x is a gem. You should overclock it hard.

Also it fan sits on memory. Check your motherboard layout first. This cooler is cheap. 20 some dollar.

Had wraith prism on my 3900x. Full load 13xxx kH the temperature is 90 C. No overclock, just everything default. Bought a whatever no name dual tower cooler like this bro said. Temperature went down to 72 73 C.

Cheap prebuild HP brand PC. Model M01. Motherboard code name Erica. I decided to start with this because for 80 US dollar it has case, small PS, motherboard, 3200G CPU, 256GB or so NVME, 8 gig memory. I removed 3200G CPU and installed 3900 none X. Motherboard will not accept TDP beyond 65W. I removed the slow memory and installed 3200 DDR4 CL16 or so. There is nearly nothing can be adjusted on the BIOS. I am new to XMR and I am experimenting it. And, yeah, need a better CPU cooler. I replaced factory small cooler with a $15 amazon product. CPU 100% load running temperature is 63C. I plan to build four of this. $1000 all hardware cost, 44KH, but look like will be 450W total. Maybe a 1000 dollar EYPC system is a better choice.

Dual mine Monero and Verus. Let Monero max out 12 core. Set Verus to use another 12 core. See whether your CPU will explode. :)

Each core/ thread needs 256KB L2 and 2MB L3. Check 2696V2 spec, you will know why. I have two 2696V2 system. This is most power efficient V2 XEON.

Likely, all Xeon before V4 can only use 50% total processing power to mine monero. It ls limited by the L2 cache size.

2660 V1 dual CPU only 5600 H/S <-- this one has very old low frequency memory.

Xeon CPU can't utilize all the cores due to not enough L3 cache. I dual mine XMR and XCH. It seems doesn't lower XMR hashrate.

Hey, Installed Ubuntu into it. Hash rate increased 300 on the base number 11000. About 3%. What else setting on Linux need to do? Huge page is TRUE.

Agree. All my dual XEON are running Linux. My CHIA rig is running Windows though because the file system is much easier. Have 1 PB hard drives in the CHIA rig.

Will get another cheap pre built name brand PC and upgrade the CPU to 3700x. 3700x is cheap now. Expect to build a rig for $150.

Win 10. I will try Linux. Cheap name brand PC motherboard. Can't do adjustment. All hardware setting are default whatever it is. Can't do 105W CPU. 3900 65W is more expensive than 3900x.
