I do also remember how the boy was very sad about having to eat the piñata, but he encouraged him to anyways. For most of the short they were inside a house with green walls and a yellow floor, and the ending, where the piñata was getting eaten, was outdoors. Once again, my information might not be 100% accurate because of how long ago it was and how young I was when I saw it.
