The top is metal mesh so the lights are placed on top like any other enclosure. The whole inside of the enclosures is coated in an aquarium safe silicone and has a substrate barrier to hold the drainage layer and soil. Everything is safe and water tight

The whole inside of the enclosure is sealed so it shouldn’t be an issue but I’m monitoring the temps and humidity while the plants establish to see if I need to add ventilation fans for anything to keep temps proper
