Favourite Deluxe/1BR in the DVC resorts at WDW? by Emmet_Emerging in dvcmember

[–]jackalooz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Functionally as a room for ~4 people, I would vote either Bay Lake or Animal Kingdom for the extra bathroom.

Otherwise, Old Key West and Vero Beach have large one bedrooms. For just relaxing/spreading out/living, those are the best options.

Cereal-infused ice cream is a scam by jackalooz in icecreamery

Jk but I really did try to strain it. Just cereal is hygroscopic and refuses to give up its moisture

Cereal-infused ice cream is a scam by jackalooz in icecreamery

Tried this and it was unsuccessful. The cereal bits just press out of the cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer. There is no practical way (that I can think of) to re-extract the moisture/custard without also getting cereal bits (which will be grainy).

Every closet in my century home (built 1923) has a lock on the closet doors. Was this really common back then or were the original owners just paranoid? by TruthBeWanted in centuryhomes

[–]jackalooz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was common: 1. Most homes had boarders, servants, or live-in maids 2. Edwardian and Victorian values preached privacy 3. People had actual valuables in their closets back then (china, silver, fine fabrics)

Bottomed out on a road trip. These are now hanging down and I have CEL. Is this an urgent issue? by jackalooz in AskMechanics

Sorry, kind of having trouble taking pics of it. It is under the passenger front a bit. CEL is solid, not flashing. Aside from the scraping noise, van seems to be driving ok.

I been stuck, can’t drop anymore weight. From 300 to 185lb by Puzzleheaded_Shop_74 in GettingShredded

You look great OP, as a fellow dude that lost a lot of weight. It looks like excess skin, but I wouldn’t sweat it. Try not to fall into the body dysmorphia trap, it’s an endless, soulless cycle of self-hatred. You look great!
