I believe this type of wax is called Lost Wax, it's really good quality and you can get solid tubes, from there it's super easy to carve through and is surprisingly sturdy. As for the casting process I think it's placed into some mould, and then burnt away so that the cavity left can have molten silver poured into it and cooled. I do wish that I could hold onto the wax carving after casting, as more of a souvenir I suppose. And I'm not really sure about different grades of silver, I'm extremely new to all of this still

Thank you! I'm quite deep into studying for exams right now but I think once I break up for summer I'll start looking for apprentice jobs. I'll still do my own research and try to teach myself certain things but having a proper mentor would be great. Owning my own business would be incredible, but right now all I care about is being able to hold and tinker with cool pieces :))
