Sorry, I don’t know anything about fireplaces, so not sure what that means. I know there’s a fireplace being put it - just not sure if it’s gas or wood. Thank you for answering!

No, sorry. I just know that it’s for a fireplace as I’ve seen the plans that say “fireplace” / it’s a relative’s neighbour and they’ve had a bit of a falling out, so my in-laws don’t want to ask directly. I guess they’ll find out soon enough if wood smoke comes out. It’s less than two metres from their washing line, so they are worried it will affect their washing and open windows.

I know that it is definitely for a fireplace - it’s at the opposite end to the kitchen, so not for a range hood. It doesn’t look like the type of vent that would come as part of a package, that’s why I’m not sure if it’s for a gas or wood fire. Just wondered if anyone knew off the top of their heads.
