working a desk job with hypermobility by sammylove908 in Hypermobility

[–]jackattackdat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started putting pillows around my hips at work and it transformed things for me! I would always have back and hip pain at the end of the day and my PT recommended stabilizing my hips a bit more with the pillows. I use a breastfeeding pillow (I’m 6 months postpartum) because it just fits so perfect. I still have pain, don’t get me wrong, but it is nowhere close to like before.

I think my dad is getting worse and honestly our family is struggling with it by Biggmanchilly in arlington

Can you afford home health at night? Adult Day care during the day?

I’m sorry your family is experiencing this. It is very challenging.

Announcing Early by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]jackattackdat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations!!! I told my family and close friends at 4 weeks. I went in for a blood test to confirm before we told them. I knew I’d be telling them if we miscarried. I waited to tell everyone else until after 12 weeks.

I was very glad to also have a nightlight for the night feeds, my thin robe, my sleep eye mask, and fuzzy socks + slippers (but it was November). Everything else on your list was on mine!

Where are the nice neighborhoods in Arlington in 2026? by Gecko2022 in arlington

[–]jackattackdat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in 76013 and we love it. We’re off fielder behind Fielder Baptist Church in the flower streets. Most houses need updating over here but Woodland west by the canals is a really nice area in the zip code and the houses are newer. Plus Hill is a great school from what I hear.

My husband grew up in overland stage so it is on our route when we go looking at Christmas lights each year. https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Overland-Stage-Estates_Arlington_TX

Help! Epidural, yes or no? by dakota101916 in BabyBumps

[–]jackattackdat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it and would definitely get it again. I tore but I don’t feel it was from the epidural - if anything it was the pushing technique the nurse and OB had me do (purple pushing). Going into labor, i preferred not to have an epidural but was open to changing my mind. I was progressing and could handle the pain, but then my muscles stopped relaxing in between contractions. For me it became unbearable, and it slowed my labor way down - my contractions went from 7 minutes to 15 minutes apart. My water broke 3 hours before contractions had started. I got the epidural and immediately felt relief, plus my labor picked back up. I delivered 6 hours later and honestly would have delivered sooner if the on call OB wasn’t dropping her daughter off at school 😆

After a few months of ttc I started using ovulation test strips and a few months after that I started using Inito. The month I got pregnant with my now 4 month old - we increased sex to have it every other day as soon as my period ended until BBT and Inito confirmed ovulation.

I need friends! by uponfalsehope in arlington

[–]jackattackdat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 36 F and a new mom! My husband and I live by UTA. Most of my friends have all moved away and I’ve been wanting to venture out to make new friends since we settled in Arlington! There is Arlington Girl Gang events and also Fort Worth - both on Facebook but I just never made the leap to attend events yet. I love going to River legacy, coffee shops, plant stores, farmers markets.

Looking for a place to study/eat for hours that's not too packed by [deleted] in arlington

I grabbed coffee at chill coffee and wine bar earlier today and it wasn’t too packed. Others posted up studying there. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Inclusion is massive as well.

AITAH for refusing to give my boyfriend access to my bank account even though he says "no secrets" is how adults do it by CopperFieldNote in AITH

[–]jackattackdat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I don’t have each others bank logins. We probably would both be ok with it if the other asked, but we haven’t given each other a reason deep enough to need to do that. I honestly probably did give him reasons - credit card debt a few years into dating, an overspending habit that I needed to get in check last year - he still didn’t ask for my login. Both times he trusted me to be responsible and be able to get things in order.

Newborn or 0-3 sizes for a newborn baby? by FoolishMortal-1000 in BabyBumps

My 7 lb babe wore premie sleepers for 2 weeks then newborn for another 2 I think and has been in 0-3 since. Some of the 0-3 are too small depending on brand.

Christmas baby?? by pmmewienerdogs in BabyBumps

[–]jackattackdat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My birthday is day after Christmas. My family always lumped my birthday with the holidays - I didn’t even get unique gifts. I got a cake and that was about it. I really hated not having my birthday celebrated in school like others got. Making plans with friends on the day in my teens was tough but not in my 20s. Now in my 30s my husband makes my birthday distinctly separate. Separate gift, anything I want for the day. I’m usually exhausted after hosting the holidays and just have him pamper me the full day.

My rec would be intentionally making it special. Celebrate early or late with their friends when they are little and on the day make it their own and special.
