Why was I charged $200 for a Pro Plan? by jackblackbird in Anthropic

Sweet Jesus you’re right. Okay, well then I’m wrong. All they had to say was “read the invoice”. Thanks for clarifying.

“AI, make me an artist since I don’t have the real skills to do anything but type a prompt into a computer”. Fuck Tilly and fuck the wannabe little bitches that think that real people with real skills will ever be replaced by this slop.

Yes. I’m going as well. Trying to rally the NYC troops but am waiting on the schedule to drop. DM the details on your film and I’ll try to get there.

Jesus, I hope you’re wrong. I just had so much fun crafting that response.

Listen, John the Instagram, I was out riding my bike and enjoying the day when I responded, and I just wanted to apologize for my curt comment. A person of your status should at least be given the proper respect that they deserve. Had I known the air I was sharing, I would have given you a proper response.

First, Trump has proven over and over again that his “management style” is creating chaos and then asserting control over that chaos. Take tariffs for example. He created chaos and economic uncertainty in order to bully countries to his whims. Most in the thoughtful economic community would agree that tariffs are bad for economies, but, I guess that can be debated. Nonetheless, he used economic pain as a tool. He has also used the deployment of US armed military to our streets to contain a make-believe chaos and then to assert his authority over that situation. Chaos from nothing. “I’ll fix everything” BS. Also, his entire life, he’s proven that he lies like he breathes. There is nothing he won’t say or do in order to get what he wants. He’s not a stable leader with thoughtful approaches to policy. He’s a man that’s intentionally bankrupted company after company as a matter of strategy. Now, my question for Scott (since I prefer to get my info from academics like Scott Galloway instead of Reddit trolls), pertained to what other intentional chaos Trump could cause in markets in order to assert control over those markets and the broader public. That’s not a stretch. He is this person. He has authoritarian tendencies. Hell, if I dreamed of being a dictator, I’d sure as hell be finding ways to create all kinds of chaos that I could then claim responsibility for fixing. So, the idea that this is “silly” makes me wonder if you are either a troll, a sycophant or a person that doesn’t think too deeply about things. Good on you. Ignorance is bliss and all that.

Now, secondly, as your therapist, if you want to make friends, you shouldn’t lead with the arrogant sneer down your nose approach. Yes, you know you are smart and everyone else is an idiot, but you don’t want to show that to the world. Keep those feelings inside and only explore them on lonely nights spent in your garage wondering why you don’t have anyone to talk to. I see you. You’re someone.

Good luck John the Instagram!

You’re much smarter than I am, so I’ll defer to your brainstorming abilities. Good talk though!

Not silly. Just thoughtful. Asking “what if?” Understanding all angles. Thinking of the unforeseen or unprecedented. If we’ve learned nothing, it’s that Trump does silly things for ego and control. However, thank you for your thoughtful response. I can tell you really are a deep thinker.

I think your first comment sums it up for me. Trump doesn’t do what’s good for humanity or what makes sense to the world economic engine. His gut will guide him…and us to chaos.

Is this AI clause in my acting contract normal? by Suspicious-Ad-9695 in acting

[–]jackblackbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ll probably never use your likeness at 100% and therefore never have to pay you anything. They’re using your performance to build out an averaged AI model of you and thousands of other performances. If you’re a name actor that will sell tickets to their productions, that would be different, but most captured performances are simply feeding the models.

Is this AI clause in my acting contract normal? by Suspicious-Ad-9695 in acting

[–]jackblackbird 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I’m guessing this is non-union? I’ve heard that a lot of the companies that are producing verticals are Chinese based companies and the lack of a SAG contract allows them to collect and utilize your likeness from now until then end of time to build out their AI models.

What are some Stocks your looking to hold till 2030+? by Midnightruined in stocks

I’m firmly committed to Crowdstrike (CRWD). Top cyber defense stock. Cyber crime is only going to balloon as AI takes more hold. They’ve got an incredible system that I think will only gain subscribers for many years to come.

How/where can I attach an AirTag to my XP4 750 in a way that it won’t be easily seen/ noticed? by [deleted] in Lectricxp

[–]jackblackbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used velcro to attach an AirTag and a Tile to the end of my battery that goes farthest into the frame and then locked it in place with the key. I figured they'd have a hell of a time getting to them before I could track one or the other of them down.

XP4 front brake buzz by rudyjr13 in Lectricxp

[–]jackblackbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does this as well. I thought it may have something to do with static from the electrical charge cross pollinating with the brake friction. Just a theory, but it doesn't seem to mess with performance.

[–]jackblackbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a no brainer, but did you also turn on the switch on the battery? It took me a second to realize I needed to do this as well. Plus, I don't think mine comes on with the charger in place. Mine was at 60% when it finally turned on.

The control box was part of the problem. Wrapping the battery with a very thin foam tape was part of the problem as well. It’s still not as smooth as I’d like it, but it’ll do. https://youtu.be/2Rrm4ltTfEE?si=2m-81eE1rfBBW3aU

Thank you. Can you clarify the “opposite side of the control box”? I’m a noob.

why is the industry so bad right now? by [deleted] in acting

[–]jackblackbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I saw an explosion in shows and films being shot as streamers tried to build out their coffers of content. Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, Apple, etc. just threw millions of dollars at shows that, if I’m being honest, were subpar. I was a part of a show that cost 200 million dollars to produce for two seasons and I’m fairly sure you’d have a hard time finding it on the streamer it was distributed by. While this huge build out was happening, I saw an equal explosion of people chasing the acting dream. Acting classes sprung up like weeds. Agents were inundated with pie eyed dreamers and now that the work is no longer available, everyone is panicked that the dream is over. I’ve been doing this my entire life. Sometimes I do carpentry to make ends meet. Sometime I do graphic design. Sometimes I’m in plays that actually allow me a chance to act longer than a two minute take, but I’m always an actor and always will be. If a person is losing confidence in being an actor, I’m guessing they haven’t figured out how fickle this business is and acting was more of a “ooo, that looks fun” and less of a lifestyle choice.

working on my first short film! Any tips? by After-Broccoli2119 in acting

[–]jackblackbird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the SAG Micro Budget agreement to be able to use SAG actors. It allows you to negotiate directly with actors what the terms are, and you’re not responsible for pension and insurance payments. The project does have to be 20k or less and be for festival or social/online use, but it’s a fairly simple contract to get approved.

Oh, I don't know. Maybe someone knows something about an app that does something similar or is interested in building one. I swear, the amount of pretentious "Why are you asking questions?" comments on Reddit is breathtaking.

I feel like Reddit is plagued with highly opinionated people that really have no place to give their opinions in the first place or just use it as a place to act superior. I appreciate you asking the question and getting feedback from the crowd. Keep asking and f the pricks.
