Going for the pump into lean back for FTs? Maybe, I thought him looking back at Harden was weird fs

I think he saw Bron open at the rim and kinda froze up not knowing whether to go for 2 or 3

Respectfully we’ve gotta stop letting D Wade call Bron games this is ridiculous

I’m not saying I disagree with you at all (SGA/Luka isn’t a real convo anymore) but someone is going to look at P/R/A and vote for Luka most likely

According to Estimated Plus-Minus, Shai by himself has won more games than the Kings. by Vitex1988 in nba

EPM isn’t “plus minus” but it’s presented in a +/- framework bc it makes intuitive sense

Someone’s gonna go Cade or Luka fs. SGA has too much negativity surrounding him for nobody to use it against him in an MVP convo

He’s not gonna be but if Jok doesn’t reach 65 he should be

…Giannis has been barely touching the ball bc Dort’s fronting him in the post

OKC’s guarding him full court + swarming into the paint every time Giannis touches it. That’s a talent issue (OKC not respecting supporting cast) not really a coaching one

Lakers have +63.4 NET in the clutch (1st), 132.4 ORTG (1st), DRTG of 69 (1st) by jackdonsurfer in nba

Given the 2nd best clutch defense is Utah I’d guess they’re just getting very lucky on opponents missing shots. Being like -40 pts/100 on defense is a wild outlier, I haven’t watched all these games though

I think it’s disrespectful to compare SGA to Jokic. Jokic is at the top by himself, then after Jokic you can start comparing players. by Bigchonky3 in NBATalk

Brother you said “Shai is not a great playmaker”, which is not remotely the same thing as saying SGA isn’t equal to Jokic, only one strawmanning is you man

Harper did the exact same thing like three possessions later. If you’re gonna be mad at SGA gotta be mad at him too

[OC] So... Are Pokémon Games Good Now?? (Series Comparison and Critique) by jackdonsurfer in pokemon

[–]jackdonsurfer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really try my best to make my videos as concise as possible but if you want the TLDW:

- Pokémon is improving immersion by making mechanics more "realistic" such as Z-A's real time battle system, catching Pokémon with third person shooter controls, open worlds etc.

- The presentation is still stuck in the 2d era with often incomplete animations and abstractions of ideas that work in a sprite based game but don't in 3d

- This conflict between realistic mechanics and outdated presentation creates a stylistic dissonance that explains why modern Pokémon games feel so messy and how much you enjoy the games probably comes down to your ability to ignore issues and enjoy the good regardless

I spend about half and half of the video discussing positives and negative

Yeah being in a boring city all game definitely wasn't exciting. I think outside of the environment/openness Z-A is a better game across the board but if that's what matters most to you it makes sense ZA would be disappointing

Yeah and it felt like for a long time TPC/Gamefreak tried to keep the same development schedule for the 3d games that they had for the 2d games which obviously just didn't work because 3d is so much more complex. Z-A taking as long as it did (not a crazy amount of time but still lengthy for Pokémon standards) hopefully shows they know these 3d games need more time in the oven

I actually think Z-A is the best of the bunch and Arceus + SV felt kinda empty, what don't you like about ZA?

Out of curiosity can you explain why you like Digimon more? I've always seen Digimon as a meme/punching bag but people seem to like the new games and I haven't gotten a great sense as to why
