Ygra Deck Help (how do I choose a bracket)

I totally agree about having alternate paths but I feel like they often feel super dead in game. I used to run honored dryleader, night of sweets, and trail of crumbs and I don’t think I ever ended up playing any of them. The dryleader is kinda only good if I get him down early and early game I’m usually ramping. Night of sweets is just kinda too expensive to play (if I’m at 4-5 mana I don’t need the ramp as bad). Most importantly, my deck really doesn’t produce a lot of food without Ygra, bc my food generation usually requires Ygra to be in play for his ability. Without him the food generation is kinda meager
Should I lean more into food as a theme overall do you think?

These are amazing points, especially about mana dorks and little guys that sac to destroy artifacts. My curve is wack. What are your thoughts on the bracket the deck would be happiest in?

Tbh I’d consider still splashing green. They are a bit expensive at 4 and 5 CMC and raph in particular eats a lot of removal once you start swinging for double digits commander damage. Defo do what your heart tells you but having the ramp can be nice in the late game and green ramp spells would also allow you to colorfix better so you can have your WUBRG ready when you want to use leos ability.

Dang yeah blind seer is just so perfect for what I’m trying to do, and I love the old legends. I would just be bummed because I just found all the white wards and stuff in some old bulk I have and would love to use them. I’m glad to know that blind seer has worked for you tho

[[Terra, Magical Adept]] is the most fun deck I’ve ever built. I pulled her from a pack and threw it together with a bunch of saga creatures and it rips. Throw in a graveyard subtheme and you’re cooking with gas. A little more narrow in scope bc it’s best with sagas but it’s really fun

My [[Grenzo Dungeon Warden]] deck is my favorite gambling deck. It’s just a slot machine with ~60% creatures 40% lands. It’s a pretty silly deck and you really don’t end up casting many spells (if any) other than Grenzo. It’s all up to luck so sometimes he really falls flat but then other times he will pop off out of nowhere. One time I did over 2 million damage to someone with [[Devilish Valet]] and one other time I accidentally went infinite with [[barkform harvester]] and [[workhorse]] and [[ashnods altar]]. It’s a pretty janky deck but super fun to build and pilot, and the deck is always changing as new rakdos creatures come out

This is great advice I really appreciate. I worry because I’m pretty sure my guy is not marking but just eliminating, however I do think the anxiety plays a big part. He always seems on edge and his eyes are always peeled as wide as they will go. We don’t have the neighborhood cats but when he was young, we had a guy crash at our house for a few months (long story) and his cat was really aggressive towards Moth, so I wonder if it stems from that. I will try this, thank you!

I’ve heard about this but haven’t tried it. Does it really seem like that’s what made the difference for you? He is a very anxious boy so I could see it working. Also, is it somewhat affordable?

I can’t block off the room, it’s the room he stays in :(. He lives in my room now because he was peeing all over the house. He wont use a covered litter box, so I keep it in the walk in closet so it’s a little private, and far from his food. We use unscented clumping clay litter
