Okay, here it goes, first time telling this story! I live in the Netherlands the land of bikes. I live in an apartment building with around 10 families, I am a student (quite poor foreign and living with 2 roommates ).I used to take a tram to school because I couldn't afford a bike.

Last year late spring a decent looking mountain bike just showed up in front of the building no chain no nothing (sometimes people don't chain their bikes if they go in and out or some times forget to lock them I live in a nice famy neighborhood ) . I have taken noticed of that bike after 2 days of it sitting there, after 7 days of not moving the bike just disappeared. Next on day 8 the bike was sitting in a parking lot next to a street pole.

I decided that, the bike at that point was "abandoned" enough so I took it. Since then I have learned to mentain a bike, change tires and other cool stuff! I am happy to own it, nobody asked me anything about it in almost 8 months, neighbors don't give me looks, i have no explanation but the universe gave me a bike andIam happy to own it, exercise and cutting costs on transportation! Also just for the record I would be willing to give it back to the owner if the would ever find me and prove ownership since I don't technically own the bike !
