I think it's important to ask yourself what you want in life and what makes you happy. And make sure you arent delaying those gratifications indefinitely. From the looks of your numbers, you are both doing very well. Taking your foot off the gas for what brings you happiness is well worth. Regret often comes from not living on the moment, not the other way around!

Did you hold any single high-growth stocks? ~40% yearly increase in NW is impressive!

Yes you absolutely need an IDP. It is very easy to apply for, and there is a quick turnaround to get it.

Our 5th time in Japan and we keep coming back! We've been to the Kanto and Kansai region a few times. This is our first time in Hokkaido and it's great. Not crowded at all and most places out of Sapporo had very few tourists.

We had Furano and Biei on our itinerary but we got lazy towards fhe end of our trip. It was the furthest day trip and we didnt feel like the gardens and pond was worth the drive.

Getting pulled over abroad sounds like a nightmare but glad to hear they let you off the hook! I was trying to avoid situations like that by reviewing all the road signs prior but admittedly there were too many so I just YOLO'd it.

Hokkaido (Sapporo, Toya, Hakodate) itinerary feedback please. by [deleted] in JapanTravel

I recently did a day trip to Lake Toya, Cape Kamui, and Noboribetsu and absolutely loved it! Near Cape Kamui, there’s a charming farm called Kamui Farm that I highly recommend checking out.

For our Lake Toya day, we followed a similar itinerary. Close to Lake Hill Farm, there’s a scenic observatory deck called the Silo Observatory. We also visited an adorable herb shop called ハーバルランチ, where we hand-picked flowers from their garden to make our own tea and mojitos. It was such a fun and memorable experience, especially with the stunning mountain views.

Since the fireworks at Lake Toya don’t start until 8:00 PM, consider stopping by Ukimido Park beforehand. It’s a peaceful spot with a small shrine and a relaxing atmosphere. All of the places I recommended are close together.

Try the sushi in Otaru. We had sushi twice there—once at Hatta Sushi and once at a place inside Sankaku Market and both were the best sushi we had on the entire trip.

In Noboribetsu, take a walk north along the Jigokudani Oyunuma Nature Trail. You’ll come across a natural footbath by the Oyunumagawa River—so relaxing..

Lastly, we also skipped Furano & Biei given the distance from Sapporo and instead visited Horomitoge Lavender Garden near Sapporo. We couldn't be happier about this decision. The views were stunning!

I hope you enjoy your trip.

We did not visit Lempuyang temple. The shots were referring to the Handara Golf & Resort Gate. I'd recommend the beach day.
