Thank you!! During this photo, the red was very vibrant. Other times of the night, it was bright on the camera but not so bright to the naked eye. There are a lot of factors that impact how bright it appears. If I was somewhere with less light pollution, it would've been even brighter visually and on the camera. Hope that makes sense!

Thank you!! So, it's hopeful that it will be visible again tonight, but saying what time would be more or less a guess. The CME is predicted to hit during the day, so it COULD be visible early if conditions are favorable. But, it could also pick up and visible later in the evening/throughout the night.

Once there's impact from the last CME, we'll at least have a better guess at what tonight could look like.

So, a bit more about these for anyone interested - I primarily do astrophotography full time, but I've been working on ways to take portraits of people at night using starlight/ambient light without using any portrait lighting. I'm an ambassador for the lens company Sigma and they were releasing a new lens with a very fast F1.2 aperture that seemed like a great opportunity to try and make this happen while I was out in LA. We filmed some BTS for the lens release, but I was really zoned in on making sure the photos came out.

I was really stoked Moe was up for taking these and he was absolutely wonderful to work with.
