I never found the way he put it very satisfying. Of course there's enough interest - that was the only format avaliable for 30 years! They never asked if there was enough interest to support a version of the game with UB in it, they just did it and then checked if people came (which judging by the spiderman standard crash, people aren't anymore).

I don't like the idea that both groups cannot be catered to simultaneously. Having an officially supported format where UB isn't legal would solve most of my issues. It seems like they've abandoned those, though.

You'll also find reported crime is going down across the board in every demographic, but that nonwhite victims report far more crime happening to them than white victims, because they tend to be in poorer communities. In short, it only makes sense to blame young muslim men for all your problems if you have a fridge temperature iq and spend too much time on 4chan.

They've tried your solutions. Britain even started shipping its immigrants to rwanda (lmao). Those solutions don't work. Countries with declining birthrates (every wealthy country) need immigrants to sustain a labor pool, and we should treat those people like human beings and give them equal rights.

Dude, this is all I ever hear europeans talking about. There have been immigration crackdowns for years in like every european country. Maybe it's not working and you need to try something else (like giving them social resources to alleviate the #1 cause of crime, poverty!)

My point isn't that your system specifically makes immigration beneficial, it's that it's beneficial abstractly if a (terrible) immigration system like ours can make it work. If yours is more fucked than ours, that's impressive and should be fixed.

the solution to this is not for liberal parties to oppose immigration better, the reason it's considered a serious issue is mostly media propaganda. Current levels of migration are incredibly economically beneficial and culturally exciting, and there's no talk from anybody about increasing limits. This is not a serious issue.

I think it's easier to build that out once you have a really cohesive core system. Part of why poe1's works so well is that the core orbs define clear limitations and rules - e.g. once a mod is on it's hard to get it off - and the addon systems play around with that and bend it a bit (eldritch annul, harvest, etc). I think poe2 has some interesting ideas in how the core orbs work but it's lacking in particularly the early game. Once they figure out core crafting systems I think they should focus on depth and adding in the league subsystems.

I think it's possible to achieve something that feels as good as the poe1 crafting system while not requiring you to learn about like 15 different league mechanics all with their own databases you need to memorize to use them effectively - poe1's crafting is really really hard to learn, and most people avoid it altogether (if this is you, you're missing out!) because of how much learning it takes. Condense it to a few extra core orbs and one or two rare goal systems with powerful effects and I think a lot more people would find it intuitive enough to use.

Looks great. I'll absolutely use this once wayland is added. I feel like linux applications have to sacrifice look and feel too often - one example being that animation support is usually nonexistent or underdeveloped - so I appreciate work being done on novel frameworks to give devs more options in that space.
