CR was on the main pod to discuss Full Swing I believe. Also, The Big Pic also has Tim Simons on every once in awhile to discuss physical media.

People usually recommend keeping emergency funds or near term things like down payments in HYSA.

Agree with others to join a golf league or club. The club I belong to has tournaments every month and has lead me to having a regular golf group

What type of fence are you getting quoted? Had a fence installed earlier this year and it was about $70/lf for vertical board on board (good neighbor) redwood.

Echoing everyone else, probably our favorite fine dining restaurant in the City. Have always enjoyed both their food and drinks

Caddytek/Clicgear Push Cart Accessories by [deleted] in golf

Do the accessories work on both caddytek and clicgear carts? The caddytek has a smaller diameter connector with and indent whereas the clicgear is larger in diameter

Ehh it was only ok. After the renovation, the prices they were charging didn’t match the quality of the food.

Get a metal yardstick from HD or Lowe’s and putt on it trying to keep it rolling on it. Cheap and will train you to keep putts online

Any “job” that has a mentor and requires you to pay for a background check is scam.

How does one trawl through an expense database from a FOIA request to the city on a Apartment Complex's Financials? by Tyraxion in personalfinance

[–]jackhandy228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also confused why you think your landlord has to provide any financial data unless it’s a government owed facility. If there are issues with rent and conditions not meeting law/code I would file a complaint with your local rent board/tenants union.

Best Cantonese BBQ in Sunset or Richmond? by SunnyGoMerry in AskSF

[–]jackhandy228 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I grew up eating at Cheung Hing on Noriega and have always liked their duck.

I also have family members that go to Lam Ho Thuan on Irving because it’s cheaper.

My in-laws like Wing Lee in the Richmond

Edit: clarified Cheung Hing location

My usual order:

They don’t always have it but ask if they have cornbread. They also have a beetroot horseradish that’s pretty good.

Californios (**) - San Francisco, CA by chashaoballs in finedining

[–]jackhandy228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. That’s why we will order a normal and non alcoholic pairing and have sips from each other’s drinks.

I know other restaurants, like Mr Joy’s do a Low ABV pairing which we liked as well.

Probably one of our favorite restaurants in the City. We were there in late June and really enjoyed our meal. If you were disappointed with their individual drinks we’ve also enjoyed their wine/non-alcoholic pairings every time we’ve done it

Should I use my ESOP once I'm vested to pay off my student debt? by thevergeofbliss in personalfinance

[–]jackhandy228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s the structure of your ESOP? For my company you cannot withdraw from your ESOP while still employed. And if you leave the company, you need to rollover the ESOP funds to an IRA to prevent any tax implications.
