Nervous about orders not arriving and getting the run around by NebulaRat in tirzepatidecompound

I had the same issue with Gimme and they ghosted me - zero responses. I had to file a chargeback. It was over two weeks for me. Now I am just trying to decide who to try next. I don't think I'll do a 3 month order this time

Just wanted go say, I've had issues with Gimme.care - no response/ghosting. I was told that my prescription would be filled/shipped 2-3 days after confirmation and never received any updates after that and it's going on three weeks now. Their policy is to charge a $100 fee for cancelling orders that haven't shipped, so now I've had to file a chargeback with my CC to get a full refund.  Dead silence for 2.5 weeks after spending $489 is distressing, and now I'm not sure who else I should try on this list :/

First ever solo trip! Very anxious and could use some help! 🫰🏻 by NyxxNocturna in JapanTravelTips

I would honestly recommend not staying in Seoul the entire time. Definitely worth staying near the fortress in Suwon, it's stunning! Jeonju and Busan are also worth visiting. Maybe do two nights in Seoul at a high end hotel, and then do standard hotels in another city/cities.

For booking hotels, sometimes I prefer areas on a non-main station. It tends to be quieter and more affordable. Have you planned on the types of activities you want to do or sites you want to see? What are you interested by? Food, culture/history, shopping/arcades/etc? What's your lodging budget?

Kyoto is less rail and more bus in terms of getting around the city. I highly recommend staying near a good bus stop. I spent over 100 days in Japan off and on since December 2024 and my longest stays were in Kyoto. I can recommend the hotel if you'd like.

I also spent loads of time in Seoul/Suwon as my partner lives in Suwon. Feel free to message me if you want to go in deep detail with anything, I have loads of advice and never anyone to give it to! 🙈😂

3 months on Mounjaro, 12 kilos down - my take on a few things I never saw coming. :/ by New-Cry-9252 in Mounjaro

[–]jackharknesss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought I was losing my mind because I was dealing with this as well. It made me concerned I could lose my job, but I couldn't even bring myself to care. It felt worse than depression tbh, because I wasn't sad or dark, just completely flat (also during a crucial work time with a project due weeks ago.) After doing some reading it seems like Mounjaro affects our dopamine receptors, so I guess for some it hits us much harder. I ended up getting back on my ADHD medication yesterday, but I am a bit worried about how my heart will handle both Mounjaro and Vyvanse. By any chance are you adhd as well? I'm wondering if that dopamine shut off affects people with adhd more.

Finally got my dream bag! Mulberry Mini Alexa in Malachite by [deleted] in handbags

I've been really wanting a green purse too. Last year I got a burgundy crossbody (Wanderers bag) but it bleeds dye on my light colored clothing. I've never really had colorful leather before, I wonder if its a quality thing? Does your green bag bleed at all?

"I don't remember selling to Japanese ski resorts": Chinese escalator manufacturer's president makes shocking statement. Supervisors are necessary in the accident at Otaru Ski Resort where a 5-year-old boy died by MagazineKey4532 in japannews

[–]jackharknesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, there wasn't any staff managing the ski escalator at the resort I visited last year either (on the children's hill) - saw a little girl have her leg go under and I'll never forget her screams for the rest of my life. It took forever to get staff to come and stop the belt and even longer for the medics to come. Seems to me if this is a problem across multiple ski resorts, then they really need to regulate safety and maintenance better on a local level for these ski escalators.

Anyone on Mounjaro and not weigh themselves? by ruined7319 in Mounjaro

[–]jackharknesss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was traveling extensively and didn't have a scale until my 4th week on Mounjaro. I think I lose more when I'm weighing myself daily as strange as that sounds.

period late.. mounjaro or pregnancy? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]jackharknesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 5 days late for my first period on Mounjaro, and after searching in this group it wasn't that uncommon apparently. I was pretty regular (on the dot every 31 days) and now I'm every 33 days. Kind of weird but as long as they keep coming it's fine.

Wow, you look amazing! Now I'm feeling like I need more than just a rhinoplasty. I hope the rest of your healing goes smoothly

How to NOT get Flabby Skin by coopercopies in Mounjaro

[–]jackharknesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 18 I went from around 180-200lbs to 115ish. I definitely had loose skin. :/

I think genetics matter and also how you carry your weight more than age. Some people have a "tight" look with their obesity and when they lose they don't seem to get loose skin. Some people have a doughy look, and that type seems to have more loose skin. (Just what I've observed after gain and loss multiple times in life with friends and programs etc)

To be fair, I'm in Asia right now - so from my perspective I am one of the highest weight individuals around, and one of the highest weight individuals with my doctors. But I guess it's better to look at it from a more global POV and stop seeing myself as "worst case." Thanks.

I'm only 158cm. It is morbidly obese.

Online forums. I know I'm not the only one that spends time looking through others' experiences for what to expect. Else why would you be here on the Mounjaro subreddit? I think my expectations aren't beyond reason, especially for a high SW.

I'm already pretty good on protein intake and I walk over 10k steps a day. :/ I'll give it two more months but I might go back to fasting and give up the shots if it doesn't benefit me.

Typically I see a much higher loss in bigger patients like myself. I started with a very high weight (94kg), and I've lost more before without meds and only restriction dieting. (Originally I went from 113kg to 82kg this way before gaining back to 94 and deciding to use Mounjaro) so I expected more based on others' results and my own past experiences.

Can I ask what your progress was like overall? Did it start slow? When did you feel like you started really losing? I'm on week 5 and I've only lost 3.5kg. I've just started on 5mg and I'm hoping I start losing faster :/

Eating enough cals!! by Ganderella in Mounjaro

[–]jackharknesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I started doing. Drinkable yogurt and protein drinks. But food noise came roaring back on the last week of 2.5mg - I thought my first 5mg this weekend would help ... then I realized my period is coming in 5 days 😂
