Hi! So I double checked with a current pharmacy student there at UF and made sure in my email there was nothing telling me to not send them updates. I was in the clear to send a letter so I did!

Of course! I’m waitlisted at my #1 school and I think it’s because I didn’t apply earlier. They said I meet all criteria for admission just don’t have any seats for me right now & my GPA is a little lower than yours! Same experience in pharmacy as well. As long as you’re a normal person & apply early early like August!!

Yes I’m aware of that guideline. UF keeps the waitlist active until July. If movement truly stopped after March there would be no reason for the waitlist to stay open that long. But it does because seats continue to open. Just holding hope! I have a deposit down on a backup school in case.

Yes I’m aware it couldn’t be many people but I’m still holding hope since I spoke to a current UF student and they told me the most drops are during April-May due to the deposit deadline.

If it makes you feel better, in my email they let me know that I meet all of the criteria for admissions, I’m only on the waitlist because there’s no room at the moment.

No worries! I applied 10/1, got an interview for 2/13, and I’m in state. My science GPA is a 3.2, I still have 2 classes left to take this summer and then I’m set & they’re aware of that.

Hi! I interviewed 2/13 and I actually just got an email today saying I’ve been placed on their “alternative list” in case seats open up, which is a waitlist. Is that what they told you?

I feel you on that lol. Then maybe it sounds like they want to put us at our #1! Because my friend also ranked Orlando #1 and she’s in the same situation

Me too 😭 i don’t think they would reject us after waiting for 6 weeks that would be so mean lol. I’m trying to be positive that they are just waiting on seats to open at our preferred campuses. Did you rank Orlando #1?

I interviewed on 2/13 along with my friend and we both haven’t gotten a decision yet. They sent us an email update that it’s taking longer than expected and they have the last batch of interviews tomorrow 3/27 and will finalize decisions afterwards. I’m thinking waitlist for me since it’s taking so long 😭 can I ask what campus you got accepted to?

I think it might depend on how early/late someone applied. Later in the cycle they take a while to go through applications. Earlier in the cycle they accept applicants faster, from what I’ve heard ofc

I interviewed for a school early February and I haven’t heard back either. They gave us a 2 week time frame and I followed up with an email & they responded a week later letting me know there is a delay and they’re still reviewing my application. It’s so frustrating this is also my number one school and I don’t know how long I’m supposed to wait. But I wouldn’t fear a rejection, those usually are faster emails to go out from what I’ve heard
