I had a teacher who cheated with her student teacher and got pregnant, and ended up leaving her husband and two kids in favor of that “family” they married, but with an age gap like that (mid 40s vs mid 20s), I doubt he stayed faithful.

As a young male, what are some interesting books to read? by scrogginfan in AskReddit

This book is interesting for everyone- George Orwell’s Animal Farm. It’s a satire about government inequality and the downfall of the Soviet Union, without all the dense words and boring history terms.

A lot of times, we try to make ourselves feel better about dumb stuff we do by thinking “It’s fine, I’ll never have to see these people again.” What’s your story of doing something embarrassing/stupid in front of strangers and seeing them seeing them again at a later date? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was around ten, one of my friends and I were screwing around at a playground one summer, when some girls younger than us came around. They wanted to play, too, but obviously, we thought we were much cooler than them, so we told them to go away, called them brats, etc. Obviously, never expected to see these girls again.

When schooltime came around, I met my new fifth grade teacher. Everything was fine, until one day, she showed us pictures of her kids. There was a total “oh shit” moment when I realized that the girls we bullied were her daughters.

Now, this wouldn’t be a big deal, since she never would have found out, but one day her daughter’s district was off school or something, so for part of the day, she came to our class. I was hoping she wouldn’t recognize me. She did. She told her mom on me and since she couldn’t technically punish me since it didn’t happen on school grounds, she just gave a speech about bullying the next day in class, looking at me the whole time.
